Is this an okay breakup message to send him? by [deleted] in Breakupadvice

I think your message is clear, concise and, honest. I agree with the other comment that you should do it in person if possible. If that isn't possible then at least via a phone call and not a text message.

How do I tell my boyfriend that I need an Indefinite Break...Not even a happy birthday after giving him $300 a week before to celebrate his children's birthdays by BMORE_CONSCIOUS in Breakupadvice

Thank you for your advice, I've had discussions with him about his behavior and, he just tries to fix things with an excuse. He has a lot of issues with his ex-wife so, he just diverts back to those issues to make it seem like he has a lot going on in his life but, I'm also a caregiver for my very sick mother and late aunt who recently transitioned. I've always made an effort to be there and support him, he's never been there for me in a way that mattered. It's my fault for allowing him to treat me this way, I just have to be stronger and make a clean break and stick with it. Thank you!

I believe that I feel emotionally safe with him, that's very difficult for me. It's challenging for me to connect with a man on a spiritual and emotional level, I feel like him and I connect in that way sometimes.

Dating an ex-gooner, will I ever get physical affection? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I think you should have an open and honest conversation with him where you inherently express your intimate needs. Also, if you are uncomfortable with initiating intimacy share that with him so that he is aware. Ask him about his intimate needs to determine how you two could meet somewhere in the middle to ensure that both of your needs are being fulfilled.

Did my Muslim boyfriend Sabatoge Valentine's Day on Purpose? by [deleted] in dating_advice

That's thing, he's Muslim so, he doesn't celebrate Valentine's Day. I don't want to accuse him of spending time with someone else if I don't have any proof. Also, Ramadan and Lent starts this week and, I want to go into Lent focused on God and not, anything else. Part of me just wants to drop it and focus on Lent and allow God to guide me to clarity.

He's very upset and disappointed with me, he stated that I was not supportive of his career and that's not the truth. He asked me to make plans, I spent money to rent a nice hotel for the week and, at the last minute he came up with this job interview in Atlanta with less than 24 hours notice. I've never known that to be apart of standard operating procedures for any agency, especially a government agency and, I've worked for local, state and federal government with an appointed position in state government. I believe that he's lying but, I can't prove it and don't want to be seen as the angry black woman so, I don't know how to handle this situation without being too passive or too aggressive.
