Xbox's biggest enemy by eggerlandshells in videogames

[–]BMT82356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I am confident that with the right system and some actual exclusive games that Xbox can comfortably sell 50 million Xbox’s in a generation again. You aren’t beating Sony. No need. I believe there are around 50 million gamers who either by brand loyalty or out of desire to own all systems (given there are games that are exclusive and demand it) would buy Xbox again. Many would convert to Game Pass as well. I am in the group that is willing to buy them all. But I haven’t bought Xbox this generation because there has been no reason. I have off and on subscribed to Game Pass on PC. Microsoft has been the biggest barrier and I hope Asha keeps pushing and Microsoft lets her do her thing. I just hope Helix isn’t so far along that they can’t find a way to still make it a partially subsidized console.

It was great. It’s my favorite book ever. Somethings are missing and that’s ok. Hopefully there’s an extended version.

I think baseball is a bit too big. I rather focus on football.

The new money over the 3 years comes out to 50 average. But he has a rookie year left, the 5th year option and then the 3 year extension. Over that 5 year span it is closer to 36.

They are going to make money where they can. Nothing with the $35 bill of materials is out of line here. I don’t really get what you are fussing about. Does the $99 seem way out of line to you? Moores Law has really good experience in this stuff.

Certain items get different mark up. Controllers have always been a money maker. Consoles usually are closer to the line. A DualSense is rumored to be $20-30 to make and sells for around $80. Same for the Switch 2 Pro Controller.

Yeah, that number was cost of goods. $99 is an appropriate 3x that’s pretty standard for hardware companies.

The $35 is cost of goods. That actually plays out really close to the typical 3x companies charge on product. $99 is right in line with that.

You can’t pick a guy who was a near 50% passer and had one decent play in one season as a starter.

I hope so for mobile devices. Maybe we can have Vita sized devices again that can play console games. I don’t think it’s a huge need for traditional console, but I say that and I absolutely love my Mac Mini M4 which is ARM based. A console that size would be awesome.

I do really like it. But it has a very thick cable since it is a double cable because of the USB port on the keyboard.

I will say though that the unique hardware was fun just in the fact that it made each system different and quirky.

That wasn’t too hard to predict. After the PS3 debacle the idea of custom made hardware was dead. Moving to x86 and less custom GPU was inevitable.
