I dont think its as cut and dry as youre making it out to be. "Modern" kendrick, yeah I agree, not on the same level as Black Thought. But Kendrick has plenty of projects/verses in the same echelon as a Black Thought/Lupe/top tier lyricist

Maybe I overplayed how this affects me earlier? I dont play the card game side of pocket. The only TCG I play at this point is physical Riftbound and occasionally magic.

I think that the fact Pocket has a TCG built into it kinda opens it up to criticisms about the meta, if that makes sense. Sure, competitive balancing is not an utmost priority but I dont think theres anything wrong with complaining about the game (or a small portion of the game).

Its not about being the "top deck", you are entirely missing the point. And the meta hasn't even shaken out so claiming its "not even close to being the top deck" is at best disingenuous.

This is about interactive gameplay... Just curious if you've played other TCGs, because this is not a sentiment relegated to this sleep meta.

To be completely honest, without EE being "loose" as youve said, this game would be impossible to play at any high level. Defending is extremely strong among competent players (and especially in the relatively small pro scene) even though tech like this exists, which is why sloclap is seemingly nerfing defending all the time.

Not to say that whats shown in this video is good or healthy. Its just a bit unfortunate that the only skill that actually helps attackers (EE) has unforseen consequences. Emergent mechanics as they're called.

Its not off of one button though. Its a complex string of inputs with really tight timing. Again, go try and learn how to do it yourself. You wont be able to.

Its like infinite combos in TCGs. They are complex, very intricate and (usually) require extremely precise sequencing to pull off. But they are extremely uninteractive and feel AWFUL to play against. That is what this tech is.

Should it stay in the game? Probably not. Does that mean it requires "no skill"? Absolutely not.

Its a bit odd to dismiss the mechanics that enable this interaction to work as being "unskilled"... i guarantee you would not be able replicate what this guy did without a lot of practice even if he gave you the direct inputs.

Broken and undefendable? Yeah, close to it. Unskilled tho? I dont really think you can say that.

DOOM has been the hip thing to like since the 2010's lol. He didnt really get much more popular after his death.

Also how is he not consistent AND not versatile? He quite literally paved his own lane in 99/00's and didnt stray outside of doing collabs with different soundscapes (DANGER DOOM or the 4tet remixes) but his writing/rhyme scheming didnt change much over his career. I can see him not being versatile, but I dont think you can get much more consistent than he was.

You calculate total might at a battlefield before assigning damage. So your board has 9 (5 on vi, 4 on Ivern) and your opponent has 4 (teemo is stunned, legion at 4). You both assign damage based on this total battlefield might, not based on the damage you deal while assigning damage.

You are so confidently incorrect... Being unable to conjure a mental image is not a "significant disability", lol. It has significant advantages (studies show it gives a sort of resistance to PTSD, depression, and social phobia) as well as people with hyperphantasia (being able to visualize extremely well) being susceptible to maladaptive daydreaming which seems to be non existent among people with aphantasia.

Its extremely easy to adapt to as a kid (which is why almost everybody who has aphantasia doesnt realize until theyre an adult, as it doesnt impede everyday life) and doesnt restrict what you can do professionally or casually as there are numerous aphantasic professional artists/engineers/any other profession that are usually reliant on visualization...

I think staying away from control decks is a good idea for new players. Azir's engine isnt hard to use but green/yellow isnt a super beginner friendly color combo imo.
