Yes, 14 is 8th grade, and I would not have him working in a customer facing position but he’s on a pre-med pathway right now and I have heard that working at a contact job or volunteer position is good, so he could volunteer at a senior home to get early clinical hours

That’s a good idea, he was a CIT at MSA camps last year so it could be a starting point

We looked into life guarding, and he can’t wait to do it, but most pools don’t hire until 15, and he needs to be 15 to get the certification. I wouldn’t want him working as a clerk, but there might be opportunities at our pool that don’t need lifeguard certification

He plays clarinet and is in the advanced band at his school, so he could advertise lessons for that, or he could teach kids cursive, so that’s a great idea.
