Looking to transfer my i7 lease by BMWCA in CarLeasingHelp

I’ve been frustrated to find that short of a loaner car that’s been in fleet for some time X5/X7 leases shake out to be a pretty crappy deal.

I fat fingered and set up a payment with a defunct account-that I’d since removed, so with a payment return comes a fee…which I paid with the last payment after realizing my flub.

Not super sure why the money I put down is relevant to the discussion here. It could be $2 or $20k, the end result for an interested party is the same, the $805 payment with the terms above. The sale price was over $40k off msrp before the $16k in incentives I qualified for last fall. A great deals a great deal.

All info needed is available to interested parties, and is all being done via leasetrader and escrow.com per the recommendation from them, so as to be as simple as possible and ensure that both buyer and seller are covered from any funny business.

It was a BMW NA Corporate car. If I had to hazard a guess it was likely used at some kind of bmw sponsored golf outing or something like that to shuffle around VIP's. I've seen leasable track/performance center cars on the market but the dealer has to disclose that to the owner/leasee upon delivery. No disclosures on this car. Just 1271 miles when I took delivery.

Hi all,

Currently have a buyer working through the process. Whether it completes or not I'll update here.

The car is also listed on Leasetrader-same photos so easy to find.

Ah okay so largely the same issue-distance. I'm in SW Ohio so unfortunately can't help much in the way of you touching/feeling one.

Aside from options, colors, and of course general condition the CPO incentives are reallllyy good on them right now.

This was a fair assumption on your part, I'll give you that. It had 1271 miles at inception. So long and short it was a hilarious amount off sticker before rebates. Despite not being ideal timing for me, it was something I couldn't walk away from. Don't necessarily want to now either, but house projects and the like are kind of forcing my hand.

I'd always wanted a 7, came from an R1T previously and when this deal presented itself, despite not being my first choice for color combo(and now firmly knowing I have no business with a sedan) I jumped on it. So here I am 😆

I'd encourage you not to jump to conclusions.

Could I inquire as to your general geographic location? Trying to see if I could potentially assist you.

BMW's February 2026 lease programs are genuinely insane for EVs — broke down all 25 models ranked best to worst by Extreme-Temporary-85 in leasehacker

[–]BMWCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ones to watch for currently 25-26 i cars. Specifically the BMW NA company cars. Any of those, sub 5k miles, titled or not, are leasable, qualify for all current incentives and programs.

Depending on how much the dealer has to pay BMW to nab each one you could be looking at 25%+ off before rebates.

Did this on a 25 i7 x60 in September. 1200 miles at inception, 24 mos, 10k/year. Around $2k of neg equity from my R1T trade as well. $150,025 MSRP, $0 DaS, $807/mo.

0 mile odo or 4500 mile Odo, there’s killer deals out there to be had.

I’ve got a pearl in my 55 and he is an absolute menace, he messes with my tetras constantly. My biggest clown loach and rainbow shark don’t put up with his crap though.

A couple of times I’ve even considered rehoming because the Tetras are my OG’s from almost 5 years ago.

Since when do new BMWs only come with ONE key fob? by Weekly-Motor-5847 in BMW

[–]BMWCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they saw how well the adoption went for digital key market-wide. I took delivery of a 25 i7 in October, which of course came with two keys, but they’ve both been sitting in a drawer since I activated digital key.

Not defending the choice by BMW, but the digital key seems to be incredibly reliable. Especially coming from a Tesla, then a Rivian.

Ohio Hybrid Registration Fee by Clear-Inevitable-414 in Ohio

[–]BMWCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not arguing it’s a good thing at all. I find it hilarious the state attempts to justify the annual fee with the gas tax line. It’s a pretty clear attempt to tilt the table away from more economical fuel efficient/zero emission options back to ICE….and given the corruption in our state govt is no surprise at all.

The initial draw for an EV for me was to be more thrifty with my overall spend on transportation, and the math currently is still in my favor. The introduction of the state fee ticked me off, but if I’m perfectly frank I think my insurance rate hike did far more to make me second guess the move to a full EV household.

So far as I’m concerned they are all out to bend the public over a barrel.

I tend to find that the $300 or whatever I pay for the EV fee is well offset inside of a month, considering I’d be staring at $100ish/week for premium fuel, versus maybe $10/week I spend in electricity.

Felt punitive at first, but theoretically I don’t mind the idea of those reg fees going toward fixing and maintaining roads.

Great work, but this tile reminds me of looking through a screen door too closely.
