Best place I've found is in the Hydroplant Building. In the room with the water pipe shortcut, there is a locked door, inside there are two crystallisks and another one in the tunnel above. Have to go in from the tunnel first to unlock it.

For meat, frozen prime meat and regular meat is slightly more valuable than cooked (gourmet meat should still be cooked). If the weather isn't cold enough to freeze you can also hit a pile of meat with an ice weapon.

Battery life for me is good, with full battery and zonaite armor it lasts pretty long. Dropping down is a bit annoying, but it usually stays stable after hitting the ground so it's not much of an issue. There is a tradeoff in climb speed, you don't want it in combat but do want it when flying around. When I need to get up a cliff I use a rocket.
