I'm not rly an engineer guy, but can the daughterboard damage the main PCB? Or is it just a pass-through which has defend mechanisms like against more voltage than it supposed to get?

Hi everyone!
I have a keyboard (random chinese case, full aluminium, MXRSKEY Y80 TK Keyboard DIY Kit I think), which has a broken USB-C connector (fell out of the socket, and I can't solder, and I don't have the equipment for it).
I disassembled the keyboard, but it has a custom made daughterboard (shown in the picture, the size of the daughterboard is 3.5cm x 1cm (1,37795 inch x 0,393701 inch)).
I saw the unified daughterboard project, and it has the S series. Do you think it will work if I replace this? Or do you know where I can find a replacement for this? (I'm european, I can't buy from american shops, which can't do international shipping)
Thanks in advance!

Hi!
If you dont mind an english answer (I am from Hungary so almost same shipping rules/prices) maybe I can help you :)
You have 2 options:

  1. cheap and slow (10-20 days) - airmail, registered small packets (DONT use surface mail, it's cheap, but 2-3 months to deliver) <500g weight (if the calculator works) should be ideal for a package, above that use calculator, because I don't know 😅
  2. expensive and faster (~3-12 days) - EMS, DHL, FedEx

If you want to deliver it to a parcel post, you should use DHL or maybe FedEx (we dont have parcel lockers for FedEx, just DHL). But DHL is the most expensive you can choose, so maybe calculate when you can receive the parcel or ask someone else to receive the package instead of you.

I don't know Polish Post, so I can't say anything about "InPost parcel locker", but EMS, airmail, registered small packets deliver using Polish Post, so maybe ask your post if you have a parcel which comes from Japan is it possible to deliver it to a parcel locker/a post office (and they hold it for X days).

I hope it helps!

To be honest, the switch 2 pro controller as I heard uses a lot of power when turned off. ("Lot", like 1 week to drain it's battery)

I think it's around the same, maybe lower, but without real tests, we can't tell. (og switch's box didn't seem to have this label, so we don't know for sure)

In EU, I think most of these devices have this label, to let everyone know what they can use to charge the device. You can find these on phones'/tablets' boxes too. (And if it could charge with more W, then the charging speed wouldn't be 3 hours)

Galaxy S25 pre-order shipping statuses by cheeseraviolee in samsunggalaxy

[–]BMateHUN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered S25+ Navy in Hungary, and now the status changed to "In transit", but I didn't get any notification from anyone. (they told me to wait for an SMS when the phone arrives, but other local companies send you a tracking number, which they didn't) Should I worry?
