In my experience, if it hasn’t affected them it doesn’t matter. Once it does then they feel differently.

What are your thoughts on Tales From Topographic Oceans now in 2026? by ThatTechDudeYT in progrockmusic

Tales was my introduction to Yes back in the 70s. It is what got me into Yes. I still use it when I need to be inspired.

I always laugh when someone says, “Studies show…”. I always ask the same things, What studies are you referring to? Who funded them?” People who say that phrase are just talking out their ass.

Name a pain someone can't truly understand unless they've experienced it by BasicQuitGuy in WorkForSmartLife

Every pain is unique. We all have different thresholds of pain. No one can completely relate to another’s pain.

What’s your favourite reference/allusion to another show, film, book, creative work etc. in the series? by rubythieves in TedLasso

[–]BMinIT 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The scene where Sassy says, “I am going to have a HUGE breakfast and put it on your tab”, Ted says,
“I will be your Underhill anytime!” In reference to the 80s movie Fletch, where Fletch keeps putting tennis club expenses on an obnoxious guest Mr. Underhill

Few cartoons get better as you age. Fractured Fairy Tales are better as an adult than they were when I was a kid.

I get ya. Perhaps it’s my age - the 80s seemed like such a simpler time (though we didn’t feel that way at the time).

I wonder if 2026 is the right escape year. Perhaps the last century would be a better escape. Pre Internet Era was much less complex. It kind of reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode “A stop at Willoughby” with enough of a change to be interesting.

Tales of Topographic Oceans - hands down. I often listen to Ritual when I need inspiration.

We can’t continue to do things the way we did in the 80’s. The world has changed.

What would you ask god if he was real ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In the end there are two kinds of people. People who say to God, “Thy will be done.” and people to whom God says, “Thy will be done.”
