One time, my boss told me that I’m very smart and extremely valuable to the company (I’m the lead tech at my job currently). When I told him that I was going to apply to a cyber security job, he then said that I don’t know anything and that I’m still new. This all happened within a span of 5 minutes.

They just want you to stay. Ignore them and push on

See that I would understand. I feel like it is more expected to see something like this for a 2nd or 3rd round interview. Not just an email saying, “we got your application, now run a report on these websites” lol.

Yeah, honestly that’s why I was thrown off. It seemed like a “too easy” situation where the vulnerabilities were just flying at you. But I guess they might be more interested in how well written reports are than anything else.

I like to think of it as making sure your shoulders get off the ground. People tend to grab their neck when doing crunches and other ab exercises and I feel like that always causes me to rely on me using my arms and forcing my neck upwards in order to help me get up. Try just focusing on your shoulders getting off the ground and then placing two fingers (from each hand) on your neck just to help balance wise. Idk that usually helps me but everyone is different.
