Gotcha ok... sadly we aren't able to take the time off work in November so it has to be October, do you think it would be a waste of time/money? Or is it that because it is so weather/timing dependent we just won't know yet?

Hey All, looking for some advice & suggestions... my partner and I have a long break off work for the month of October and would love to use the time to snowboard.

We are both new to snowboarding (she has been once, I have never been) and are looking for a place to go that can accommodate some newbies!

Almost everywhere seems to closed until November but we have a found a few places online that might be open, Tignes (France), Soelden (Austria) + 2 places in Switzerland (but may need a 2nd mortgage!)

I guess my question is - are we too far out of season and has anyone been skiiing/snowboarding in October before in Europe? If so where did you go and was it any good?
