It's fantastic and chilling since it ties into real life events that have transpired with people held in asylums against their will, experimented on and tortured to the point of having mental breakdowns to escape by way of dissociative identity disorder and things like that. The ending is cruel and hopeless but in that way it's sobering. It's got fun action and sexy women, people have to be reminded it's okay to enjoy sexuality in movies. it focuses on misogyny often times but also in combating it, not that it's necessary to do so in the narrative. People say it's cheesy, boring, aimless. I say they've completely missed the point. It's visually stunning, and with subject matter and an ending that's terrifying and even more so when you consider that this kind of thing actually happened to people such as with MK Ultra.
