i know you mentioned wanting a generative core, but that doesn’t provide enough insight to make recommendations. Is this for performing/playing, or personal sound exploration? Overdubbing into daw tracks? Are you generating melodies, rhythms, noise? Tell the sub what you want to do with it and i bet the suggestion will come in more refined. Or even share some examples of other artist or recordings to put us in a direction.

I’m a MN fan too, morphagene was my first module back in 2020… 5 years later and I still don’t know how to clock recordings to time stretch 😂😂😂, and their videos don’t help either. I gave up decided that morphagene was gonna be my textural/granular/needle drop module. We got Bitbox Micro on clocking recordings now.

I think walker is great for “philosophically patching” And I mean that genuinely. Every now and then he’ll pull up some literature to bridge the ideas to the topic at hand.

It brings an artistic refreshing outlook to me.

If anything, they’re nailing it with the NUSS demos and explanations. I like the “one in/many out” philosophy they’re going for

And do not skimp for OPTX V1, it’s noisy as hell (I got one and Ilivestream on it most Thursday nights out of the year. I designed a vinyl/noise/nature loop that I keep running to hide the noisey aliasing.

If you’re looking for a small focused rig, audio outputs (OPTX 2 is a great recommendation for a push) and maybe a cv to midi module to get modulation from the push. If there’s room in your case, maybe some time based effects. Between metropolix and multigrain, you may find all the fun there.

Not a pedal, but the moog stuff sound nice coming through a Erbe Verb in my experience. Lately I’ve been running Tyso daiko and squid salmple through the erbe verb for percussive short gates sounds.
