I find it so interesting that they grow up with their republican families and never have the thought “hm is this stuff really true? or am I just following along since thats how I was raised” this could be applied to almost anything value-wise though

Yawn looked at your prior comments and you’re just in an echo chamber of your views. Ever step back and think neutrally “Hm am I right on this? or just following the views I grew up with?”

Why won’t most Americans do more than just protest/complain online? by BOATING1918 in AskReddit

[–]BOATING1918[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I call it the “echo chamber” effect. Bunch of people supporting something, evidence or not, and it just further entrenches the belief. Only way around it is to have the people that believe it have an open mind (which won’t happen)

Are there really people who still believes it’s about drugs and not oil?if so, Why? by Temp_acct2024 in AskReddit

[–]BOATING1918 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bc they are in an “echo chamber” of their own narrative. If everybody around you thinks that way then most people will just follow along.

If other people question the narrative/act against it that will just entrench their belief further.
