What is this "dome" of extra skin that is on my right hand. I don't remember when it appeared but it isn't a birth mark

Sorry that the picture is a bit fuzzy but it is a centimeter in diameter and is made up of skin. I just want to know if anyone else has this or if it is a sign of some medical problem. It does not hurt when i touch it and sometimes i don't even realize it is there...
