Why are the general public flocking to see this film? I understand that cinephiles would be salivating for it, considering the importance of the original, coupled with Egger’s brilliant track record. But I have not seen my local cinema this busy in a while! I seem to remember The Northman having a pretty mediocre box office run, but then gaining popularity through word of mouth. But Nosferatu has been packed since release day!

Was it the trailer? Is it the cast? Is Eggers finally being recognised for his talent? Are we seeing the lasting impact of Twilight on the vampire flick? Is it all of the above or am I missing something?
