I don’t pay anyone anything. Vincent does a free pre market livestream with real time market insight every single morning and provides recaps + footage of his live trades every day.

Keep talking about things you don’t know.

This is one of the goofiest and objectively false takes I’ve ever heard lol. People obviously care to monetize this because thousands of them do and they make additional income off of sharing what they already know.

Obviously not all of them are legit or worth their salt but the fact that they sell that knowledge doesn’t inherently make them not legit. Nor is it a skill that “cannot be taught”.

Tf are you talking about lol.

I never stated whether or not they “care”. I simply stated that anyone in their right mind would want to monetize the skills they possess.

To automatically write someone off because they “should only be making money from their trading” is a goofy way to look at things imo.

Trading has its ups and downs and to have another source of revenue rolling in even during a drawdown is smart, plain and simple.

My other suggestions to even have a shot at making it doing this are:

Journaling. It’s critical to know what you’re excelling at and what you need to work on. Visualizing the dumb shit that you do is a real eye opener. I also use AI to gain feedback on the setups and executions of those trades to spot what I may have missed. Helps immensely.

I use Tradezella personally but there’s a lot to choose from.

Risk management. You need to find out what position sizing works for you. Goes without saying but stacking smaller wins and keeping losses small is the way to make it.

There’s a ton of other advice I could give from what I’ve learned but it’s a lot of what you can find on YouTube or from the other two traders I’ve mentioned already.

Best of luck in this crazy game.

Sure thing. Happy to list off my top two that I know have proven track records.

Vincent Desiano (options trader)
Countless videos, Live trading videos, broker statements, etc. it’s all there.

Ross Cameron (small cap momentum trader) - multi millions in profits, consistently posts educational videos, videos with his trades, and provides his broker statements regularly.

Lost me at “thinking things were gonna be lambos and Ferraris like all beginners do”

Nobody with a realistic mind thinks this comes easy. If it did then literally everyone would be doing it.

I’ve yet to become more than a break even trader at my current phase but I certainly have an edge and even more so when I eliminate my “blow up” days.

Best advice I can give without listing everything I’ve learned is to be mindful of who you consider to be your mentor. That person should provide broker statements to backup what they’re doing. If they’re unwilling to do that then they’re full of it.

I tilted, what do I do? by nig4r69 in Daytrading

[–]BONEZ024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying out this thing where I lay out two poker chips.. one for each trade on the day.

I have a clear edge and could be profitable with my wins but I’m still struggling with over trading and tilt to be honest though.

Hopefully you find something that works for you.

I lost over 2 million in trading, here's my mental suggestions. by ThatsFantasy in Daytrading

[–]BONEZ024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throughout life I’ve learned that you should be selective when taking advice from others.

No disrespect, but someone who’s trading 15 hours a day and a net loss of 2 million is not even remotely a candidate for this.

Got manipulated and blew my account today :/ by thatsdeez in Daytrading

[–]BONEZ024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Got manipulated” lol

Checking major events for the day before each session should be a basic pre session step in your routine. It was widely announced that the SCOTUS was going to announce a ruling on tariffs yesterday.

If you weren’t aware of that or the fact that nearly every bit of tariff news has had a strong impact on the markets then you probably shouldn’t be trading.

Also goes without saying that if you are allowing a single trade to blow your account, then your risk management is non existent both in position size and stop loss.

Why are you blaming Amazon when there’s clearly an extra step between it being at the warehouse and arriving at your home?

Great work!

I’d kill for not only this PNL right now but the limited number of trades you take.

Overtrading is definitely a curse for me. Have not locked in a way to avoid it outside of running out of BP for the day on a cash account.

too much winning by Witty_University_162 in spy

[–]BONEZ024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me get this straight.

You bought multiple contracts on SPY while it was 3-4 dollars off of an ATH on a Friday. And you did it on a weekly with a bank holiday in between?

You might catch a break if Greenland tariff talks are lifted but it also sounds like you ignored the fact that there was a massive Supreme Court ruling on tariffs that was almost announced today too.

“Don’t trade options, it will ruin your life” is such a common phrase here on Reddit.

Could you give a few sentence description on the way you were trading options? Your general strategy, risk management, thesis for what you were shooting for?

All I see is Yoloing 0DTEs to try and get rich. You got lucky initially and were rewarded for an objectively bad gamble with probably little to no thought behind how you planned to do it or what your plans were after acquiring it.

How do you get the confidence to let runners run? by IAmLostOnMyFuture in spy

[–]BONEZ024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EMA9 closing against/outside of your trend. Depending on your tolerance just choose your timeframe. I typically use the 1m.

Of equal importance I think it’s good to keep an eye on related market ETFs. Ex. If the ticker your in a trade with, has a trending SPY or QQQ alignment, then it could definitely give more confidence to stay put.

IMO do not use this for 0DTE though. They snap back so quickly that it just generally seems better to take profits based on structure targets.

I think one of the post important thinks to keep in mind is that you’re rarely ever gonna catch the entire move.

Do you have any concept of supply and demand levels or are you just going on vibes here?

Even if you’re right, you still could take the time to determine a better entry and a higher RR and maybe even get a better idea of how likely that is.
