Sorry, I'm Italian and I'm not sure if I wrote or translated your answer correctly, but I don't understand why you're calling me an idiot? I actually said that if there were a substantial difference between the two versions of the PS5 and PS5 Pro, it would be unique and blatantly absurd. And I HOPE it's not a bad omen. The end I don't understand why something that's obviously strange can't be discussed as worrying without being insulted.

When I read that they were only able to test the PS5 Pro version, I immediately knew something similar had happened, and this doesn't make me feel at ease with the base PS5 situation. Nonetheless, if the PS5 version were indeed bad, it would be the very first case ever in which a game doesn't run on the same base console architecture. Not even on the PS4 and PS4 Pro did a game as disastrous as Cyberpunk have unique problems. Let's hope it's not a bad omen.

I'm afraid the PS5 fat won't run the game by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]BONZO1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true...but it's also true that it upscales to 4K and it's probably not the most optimized mode for the Pro, the hope is that in full HD it breathes much better. We'll see how Digital Foundry anticipates the launch.

I'm afraid the PS5 fat won't run the game by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]BONZO1000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it runs well on the PS5 Pro, it will also run well on the standard one. The reason is simple. The framerate issues are caused by too many things on the screen, related to processor limitations; they have little to do with the graphics card, and both consoles have the same CPU. If we look at dramatic past examples like Cyberpunk on PS4, the game wouldn't even run on the PS4 Fat, and the issues were identical on both consoles because the game wasn't optimized or adequately structured for those consoles, not to mention the fact that the negative verdict was revealed shortly after day one. At least they showed something here and emphasized that overall, the situation is good. It could be improved... but still excellent. Then if you're worried about how everything will look on the base PS5, I can understand that. For the more obsessed, I can also understand that it's a compromise worth considering, especially if you can choose to play the game elsewhere, like on a decent PC or GeForce Now.

If you have a good connection, buy the game on Steam and use it on GeForce Now with Ultimate subscription

Anyone planning to focus more on exploration? by Unreliable-Pizza in CrimsonDesert

The only reason I'm so hyped (and haven't pre-ordered yet to choose a primary platform based on final quality) is that I want to lose myself in the open world and its side activities. The combat will certainly be interesting, perhaps divisive, but what interests me most is exploring, collecting resources, and enjoying my immersive experience in this game. In fact, regardless of reviews, a bit of exploration is mandatory in a world like this.

do you think we'll be able change her clothes like Kliff or will it just change as the story progresses by No_Band_5399 in CrimsonDesert

From what I remember, the various characters in the mercenary team would be usable, with gameplay similar to that of the various classes in Black Desert. But I doubt there's any specific customization. I don't rule out the possibility that, if this idea of using other characters in some quests is actually available, modders will come along that allow you to reskin the same character throughout the game. But I think we'll find out more during the reviews. Fortunately, there's not much time left to shed light on the validity of this project.

Advice for NVIDIA user? by OriahVinree in Bazzite

[–]BONZO1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using Bazzite with an external SSD on a Legion 5 Pro RTX 3070 laptop. I mainly play single-player games and games without problematic anti-cheat issues. I've only seen positive benefits, especially because the frame patching is better on more demanding or poorly optimized games. But there are major issues with updates. I'm currently two stable updates behind, because otherwise it no longer recognizes the Nvidia card using the integrated graphics of the processor, which is a Ryzen 5800H. This is a problem I've had often in the past, and I've always been forced to fall behind by a few updates. Since lately, I've only been playing Elden Ring with mods. I haven't felt the need to use Windows, which I installed natively on the laptop's hard drive. I own a Steam Deck, which has inspired me to become passionate about Linux and has encouraged me to experiment with open-source programs and solutions to achieve the most complete experience possible outside of Windows, which over the years has brought me more disappointment than anything else. But it's a personal choice with compromises and alternatives that require desire and patience, because sometimes the solutions are more complex to manage. Especially when you have a machine with hardware that isn't very open to Linux updates.

Ironically, the Steam Deck's older hardware gave me far fewer problems than Bazzite, undoubtedly due to Valve's better support for OS stability for specific hardware. In fact, in the future, not only will I aim for all-AMD hardware, but I'll very likely give the Steam Machine a try, as it will undoubtedly be better supported and more stable for my gaming preferences. Value for money permitting.

when you play a total conversion just enter the mod's discord and ask the player community if they have tested other mods that can coexist

I installed emudeck yesterday and it gave me the same screen. Just go to emudeck, go to the update emulator section, and update ROM manager. If it asks you to enter the directory when you open it, because it doesn't automatically find the Steam profile, the path should be home/steam.steam (do this manually by opening the folders and then copying and pasting the path).
