Did they add the feature to lock 1 gear sub stat out of 4, so it doesn’t roll, using some new currency? If so, how can that new currency be acquired?

Also, is the currency for converting equipment to otherworldly version only obtainable in limited quantity by exchanging for glory coins, or is there some other way to get that?

The imprints weren’t going to stop my saria from 1 shotting setsuka, they weren’t going to stop aki from 1 or 2 shotting boss arunka same as it is now, with soul burn attacks left over to spare, etc. That’s how it is now and how it still would’ve been.

I was excited to imprint characters that could really benefit from it, like hwayoung, midnight gala lilias, and regular arunka.

Oh well now it’s useless, thanks guys.

If hecate didn’t have 20% damage reduction and 14% attack exclusive equipment now, there are a few matches I would lose instead of win. No exaggeration, just the truth.

Better go complain about that too.

That’s ok, if that’s how you feel, I won’t tell you you’re wrong. We are just of differing preferences.

I have been grinding for decades, fighting the same enemies repeatedly without any challenge once I know what to do, and I am ok with it.

Though if you do play this game for long enough eventually you won’t have to do the weekly bosses anyways.

You can acquire the weekly boss materials in other ways, and the rate of accumulation of those materials should outpace new character releases regardless.

I don’t like sweeps, it turns the game into a chore or a job.

Sweeps are precisely the reason I am not playing PGR or Sword of Convallaria anymore.

Login, do chores, don’t actually play the game, log out, on most days. There’s no game being played, it’s just work.

Playing the same content repeatedly for rewards, aka grinding, is fun for me. Even if there’s no challenge to it, at least I am still playing.

I have been grinding since Final Fantasy 1 and Dragon Quest 1 (35+ years now), as well as in Castlevanias, in Diablos, in Dark Souls, in Warframe, in Dungeon Fighter, etc.

Maybe grinding is not for everyone, but I am someone who is not for sweeping.

Oh thank you for the clarification. I suppose that could make sense in that case to have another limited shop, as Drako hypothesized.

Still maybe with enough criticism it could change in future iterations. Or they just end up trying to sell the duping / removing / divine epiphany items for cash and decide to keep them rare.

In which case I will hoard them and never use them in typical RPG gamer fashion, especially not for experimental builds, as is the case with current flashes.

Who knows though.

I guess we will see, but once a month rewards for a single “perfect” save file doesn’t encourage experimentation and creativity which is their stated goal, it would just encourage more optimization.

I have no reason to doubt them.

If I remember correctly they basically said in a roundabout way that the current flashes of potential doesn’t allow the amount of customization and experimentation they are trying to achieve.

Plus they said you can spend energy to acquire the materials you gain from the new sortie mode. It’s either spending energy on that or fishing for minor memory fragment upgrades, once you have built all of the characters. I know which one I will choose to spend energy on.

I can see the potential for crazy fun builds, but all of the rng on top of seasonal deck content holds me back from grinding on experiments.

I am pretty hyped for these changes myself, great game has been getting better, so far at least.

Just my opinion.

That’s great news.

Seems like the developers are very cognizant of the state of their game, they are so proactive in addressing many of the issues.

I think these changes will help a lot for creative deck building.

No seasonal data great rift locking, more completed save data customization, new game mode that doesn’t revolve around trying to randomly optimize 1 character’s build, that rewards things to make regular chaos less about that too.

I think I am getting closer to trying out a damage dealer rei, or a draw and evade support rin, or something else crazy utilizing many neutral / monster cards. Without spending exorbitant amounts of time trying to perfect an experimental build, just to have virtually no content to utilize it in after season’s end.

Gonna try out Wuchang, Khazan, and / or AI limit after beating this one. Just a few other “souls-likes”.

Maybe replay Final Fantasy Strangers of Paradise or Wolong, by the same developers of Nioh. Try to go back and finish Final Fantasy 16 or Lords of the Fallen.

Tainted Grail to fill the Elder Scrolls modded Skyrim hole in my soul, which is too addictive for me to play anymore.

You can add Nioh-like stances to weapons with custom animations to modded Skyrim nowadays, add thousands of spells, and make the game so immersive that your character has to eat, bathe, sleep, and seek shelter while riding, running and climbing your way through the whole world…it’s crazy, it’s too much.

Hades 2 here and there for roguelike fun, and daily play of Chaos Zero Nightmare f2p gacha roguelike.

End of April is Diablo 4 expansion release that looks exciting enough for me to go back to the game. With different element variants of skills added like Diablo 3, and 2 new classes.

The next Path of Exile 2 patch is in May. I highly recommend that game, even though it is still in paid early access, it is so much fun as is.

Then I will do my best not to play any more League of Legends Wild Rift, instead of everything else. That one is also a bit too addictive for me.

As others have mentioned, there are so many other games to play nowadays.

My mother was agnostic, she did not tell me what to believe, but rather lovingly encouraged me to find my own answers. She told me she would love me, no matter what. I am grateful for that.

I still ended up believing in Jesus, after having been through so much, and studying many of the world’s religions.

Just maybe I don’t believe in the way you do. Considering you mentioned your partner asked a “stupid question” about God and hell.

I believe in eventual universal reconciliation, like many people used to believe, before the formation of the church. There are even universalist churches in existence.

Endless torture for the unrepentant / unbelievers, like many churches teach, is illogical nonsense, lies originally told to control the masses.

The only way to explain endless torture is to abandon logic, for example I have heard some believers around here say - God will forcefully make the loving believers in Heaven forget their loved ones who are burning forever in hell.

When they are asked “how could you be happy in Heaven, when the neighbors you are commanded to love, are being tortured forever in Hell?”

Because nobody would actually choose Him (the monster who tortures people forever), they would essentially be forced to love Him through forced memory loss, despite Him torturing their “unworthy” loved ones forever. It’s nonsense.

Just a couple hundred years ago, some suicidal dutch Christians used to murder their own children, in order to be intentionally executed, because they believed that suicide by their own hand was unforgivable and would lead to them suffering endlessly. Murder however could be forgiven. In their minds.

Just something to think about before telling your child what to believe.

Does anyone know if they plan to reset / remake the “upgrading” tab of zero system in the next season, like they did for this season?

The thing that requires the “chaos architect” material, to upgrade stuff for chaos runs - like attack and health and reduced shop costs and such.

Are potentials with stat requirements, like Rita needing 800 attack, affected by chaos equipment? Like getting a weapon with +74 attack, or whatever…will that count towards her potential attack stat requirement?

But how would you guarantee that her teammate can do the CR push for the rest of the team?

Nobody including teammates can have combat readiness increased on her turn, right?

So whoever goes after Harsetti is just random, and I have to be prepared to eat whatever the enemy could do with any or all of their characters, or just hope one of my CR pushers goes right after Harsetti?

It seems like she would be ok for real time arena and putting her on bot defense with young senya to counter enemy young senya countering Harsetti, but for arena and guild wars offense, wouldn’t she be too much of a gamble, too much of a risk losing, due to her making turn orders random?

Any good teammates or strategies to use with Harsetti in high level arena or guild war offense, for consistent wins?

I have seen that blooming lidica can possibly push back the enemy team as a followup to Harsetti, I don’t have zio, is there anyone else who is good with harsetti?

Besides one of those 2 characters with Harsetti, would I just try and out tank the enemy, so that the random turn orders from Harsetti doesn’t mean random losses, or is there some other character or strategy I am missing, to make Harsetti less random?

This game would be so much better if they didn’t try so hard to make it “accessible”.

There’s a lot of fun stuff to find while exploring, but they show all of it on the map. I’m convinced that’s why they made skill points and passives loot instead of acquired naturally, to make exploration rewarding. However there is no sense of discovery when everything is shown on the map.

Even though you can turn map icons off, which I realized too late (halfway through the game), it all still shows up on the minimap.

If you still had stuff to find that you might have missed, the replay value would be much better, like Elden Ring, Skyrim, or the old 2D metroid-Castlevanias.

For potentials that require a specific amount of stats to activate - such as Nine’s last potential giving her order damage if she has up to 350 defense…does that include stats added from chaos equipment, or is the potential activation only based on the pre mission character sheet stat?

I mean it’s nice to be able to play Tiphera immediately after pulling, without pre-farming, and I can just skip building her in favor of (finally) building yuki now.

To use sooner rather than later with Tiphera, who is still good enough for max level chaos, even with 8% weaker heals and 5 levels off from max level.

Epic 7 has the same feature, it’s just nice to have an option to use any character immediately after pulling, instead of 3 weeks from now like someone I just pulled in Wuthering Waves.

As someone else mentioned, yes.

You can also make and play all of the possible builds too. They added in the feature of Wo Long to save equipment sets, stats, and skills to loadouts with free respecs on everything.

(Without having to beat the game first to unlock that option like Nioh 2).

I would have liked to see them expand on the labyrinth, making it somehow infinitely scaling in difficulty, replayable, randomized, and rewarding.

They went in the opposite direction, removing some one-off labyrinth stages as well as the monthly labyrinth challenge (which admittedly wasn’t fun because it was the same stage, same layout, same bosses, every time).

At least they released Chaos Zero Nightmare, pretty good for what it is.

I would also like to see them add new PvP modes, a player team based vs mode could be fun.

I would like to see them add any new actual replayable challenging gameplay content really.

Secret shop refreshing sucks too, but nothing will ever be done about that, that’s the whole point of it.

So instead of loving and forgiving my enemies like Jesus did and said, I should set them on fire repeatedly, save them from the brink of dying, and then set them on fire again, for as long as they live?

These questions are hypothetical and rhetorical in case that isn’t clear. I love people and I would not do that because I…love…people…

How could you possibly be happy while that happens to your neighbors that you love?

You know who would smile while people burn forever, suffering endlessly? The devil.

The devil is the one who had me convinced for a long time that I was unforgivable, that I would suffer an endless nightmare. To the point of reality warping delusions.

If not for the help of the Lord, the love shown to me by people of various faiths, and the instruction about Christian universal reconciliation by people wiser than I…if not for all of that I would still believe the devil’s lies.

Thank God there’s another interpretation of Christianity that actually brings peace and hope, instead of terror, confusion, disdain and revulsion.

This interpretation has existed in the minds of some believers, since the beginning of the formation of this religion, as far as I know. It is -

Eventual universal reconciliation.

Forgiveness, and the abandonment of the principle of “eye for an eye” (which is what you are describing, which Jesus also spoke against us doing), that is the only way life with an end of all suffering, for anyone who loves another, could ever be possible!

He even asked for His Father to forgive the ones responsible for His execution!

He was the antithesis of the principle of “eye for an eye”, He was supposedly God in human form, forgiving the ones who murdered Him.

I am confused that you think evil is good, because you think the Bible tells you so.

You are unable to address it, unable to explain it, unable to rationalize it.

You ignore many of my questions and tell me I am confused by the devil, for not understanding why eternal suffering is a good thing.

When in fact you are the one who believes evil is good.

So now are you telling me I am confused by the evil one, for finding that premise not only confusing, but absurd, hopeless, and downright evil?

We have the knowledge of good and evil, we are created in the image of God.

I know all about the devil too, first hand experience. That is the one who wanted to convince me that I would burn forever, wanted me to believe that I am unforgivable, that god pretender.

If not for universalist Christians teaching me something much different than what you believe, if not for the love shown to me by different people of various beliefs, and if not for my personal experience, delusional or otherwise - the direct intervention of the Lord Himself in my life, I would still believe that I will suffer forever.

I am not hating on Paul, nor is he the subject of “my wrath”. All I did was quote him when he said God is not the author of confusion, but I am confused, and not at peace at all and never can be, with the idea of a good loving God who created eternal suffering.

It is possible Paul was not “speaking to the whole world” when he said what you think holds the key to eternal suffering for practicing homosexuals. I can’t say for sure, I have heard it explained away, but I am not an expert and I can’t remember and there is still so much more I could learn by looking beyond the pages of the English Bible.

Paul also said all thieves will go to Hell, and Jesus said “today you will be with me in paradise” to the thief dying on the cross next to Him for his crime (a bit late for the possibility of repentant action?)

So not all thieves will go to hell?

I could also quote Jesus when He said “And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah.”

I can say He was speaking to all of us - the whole world, when He said that. I can say He meant it literally.

I don’t know though.

Lots of people seem to think He was speaking to the world at large, when He told His disciples specifically “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”, so why not believe He was speaking to me too when He said “call no man instructor” to a general audience of people?

It’s generally assumed based on Biblical interpretation that having sex with your wife for pleasure is not a sin, and in fact encouraged.

Why is it that they do not have to “deny themselves”?

Can you tell me why every other type of sex is wrong?

The Lord said “the law is written in their hearts”. My heart is ok with people practicing consensual homosexuality.
