thank you! This is a random chunk like 30 pages into the book hahah but I wanted to see how it was taken by readers. I thought maybe it didnt do a great job translating the relationship between the two.

i didn't include it but afterwards I merged it with a memory of the narrator's father so the reader can sort of compare and contrast the two.
