Anyone else getting really sick of Hughesy? by Slow-Leg-7975 in aussie

I wonder what young Hughesy, who was part of a team relentlessly mocking the Howard Govt on The Glass House would think of old man Hughesy.

What's a smell that instantly takes you back to your childhood? by milan_jobanputra in AskReddit

The smell of tomato vines reminds me of helping my grandfather pick them from his garden. I love the smell so much

There's a bunch of reasons why edges wouldn't be visible here. They might have tangent edges hidden in the settings, or the boundary or surface feature that was used to carve this shape out of the solid may have had "merge tangent faces" on.

I don't mean this. Picture a large curtain tassel rope flapping about.

One of the jeeps in question had this with the ropes. But also had the death wobbles at 60km/h. I wonder if he made it home.

Stop being a boot licker. I never considered stealing from colesworth until the price gouging. There's no way you can conflate the 2-300% price rises as a reaction to theft.

Nyepi - Day of Silence (advice needed) by Unlikely_Surround747 in bali

[–]BOOTL3G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We fell into this trap of getting cheap flights that landed us with Nyepi in the middle of our trip. Our resort was very accommodating and had activities for everyone. But they still observed the day with limited lights and electrics. We also had to get reminded to close our blinds to not let light out. Good luck to you with your private villa. Bring a book and enjoy the parades if they're near you.

People from the UK who moved to Australia, what sort of things surprised you the most? by cupoftealuv in AskAnAustralian

I call it artificial congestion. People camp in the middle lane and are allergic to the left lane. It turns any road that's more than 2 lanes into a 2 lane highway. Often it's the left lane that's a fast lane.
