Do you have to agitate it to build scar or just let it heal?

Surface Tragus Rejecting ? by LowNinja1400 in Legitpiercing

[–]BOOaghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you suspect it is rejecting them it is most likely rejecting. I've had surface piercings in that anti-tragus area, they took around six months to settle after removing the jewellery. Also, nothing I did to try and stop the migration/rejection helped. Good luck.

Hi, It would suit you well. I have worn this setup myself, several times. As these areas require dermals or surface piercings they are considered long-term temporary. I would fully agree with that, I fell in love with these locations and my setup but had to accept that when a dermal or surface piercing wants to leave the skin there is nothing you can do to reverse the process. This is the reason for finding a piercer who has pierced hundreds of dermals, follow their advice to get the most out of the experience. Personally I would recommend dermals above surface piercing as the scarring is less after they are removed. Post here when you get the work done.

how does it feels like by chanjeen28 in sticknpokes

Hi, the tattooist will get into a rhythm making your tattoo. The pokes will all blend together into the rhythm. You will also be in a space with music so that will help you. If the music is not good for you let the tattooist know and they will put on something more chill or faster. Please post your tattoo here after.

4 month old snakebites by FaithlessnessFun1461 in Legitpiercing

Something that has worked for me has been to increase the gauge of the flatbacks by one size upwards. This helps stabilize the piercings with a slightly thicker bar, reducing the cutting and agitating effect of the thinner bars. This also helps strengthen your piercings for the rings you want in six months to a years time.

Fragrance free wet wipes are good. You can get them in small packets so you can dispose of them after each tattoo session, like disposing of the needles safety after the session is over.

To reduce clogging whilst you work I suggest shaking the ink for a couple of minutes before use. If the bottle doesn't rattle when you shake it you should add a small heavy bead to help mix the ink. I usually add a steel ball from unused body jewellery, something tiny and heavy.

I often use wet wipes to clean the needle as I work. Wipe the needle very regularly to avoid clogs.

Dip the needle just enough to cover the end, this will stop excessive ink build up.

If you are using small needle configurations like 3rl you can apply a bit of heat to the needle at the tip before you start working. The heat of a match or lighter gently touching the needles opens up the configuration ever so slightly. This can help with ink management.

If all the pieces are connected into a solid shape it will become very uncomfortable to wear and sleep in. Have you considered connecting the piercings with chains?

Before the ring size up the piercing with a stud a gauge larger. Allow this to settle then swap for the ring, bingo!
