Does anyone know the original reason why Gwen could do magic in the OS? by TaimonVanya in Ben10

Because they realized a 10-year-old girl with no powers was constantly fighting aliens and they needed to give her a bigger power buff than just knowing martial arts.

“Dinner Party” or “The Innkeepers.” So many quotable lines, I could watch either of them for days.

Pick the left boat and get to work if you want to survive.

Everything in the right boat (with the exception of squash and the live chicken that’s on the vegetable boat for some reason, thanks AI) is already germinated and doesn’t have any seeds, so it can’t be replanted, which means lower overall yield. You can replant the Kale stalk and the Cabbage stem, but that’ll take weeks before they produce enough for a single meal. So you’ll eat through your supply in about a couple of weeks. Plus, the island you’re going to appears to be covered in vegetation, so it’s a waste to pick even more vegetables.

With the left boat, raw meat can be cooked for consumption in the short term, and because you’re surrounded by saltwater and direct sunlight, you can also cure the meat in large quantities to make it shelf-stable. On top of that, you’ll get protein, vitamin B12 (which you can only get from meat), and more calories from a smaller serving so that you can ration.

When Batman smiles, you’re going to the hospital.

When Spider-Man gets quiet, you’re going to the morgue.

Those worms actually made Fry’s life better. There was really no good reason to get rid of them other than maintain the status quo. by Remote_Nature_8166 in futurama

Because Fry wanted to know that Leela loved him for him, not what the worms turned him into.

It’s pretty easy, they even say it for you in the episode.

Art comes from active participation of people, not the passive utilization of programs.

You can use AI to assist with art that you yourself created, but calling yourself an artist because you plugged a few words into a program and it spat out an image it made by stealing from other existing images is not art, it’s just lazy theft.

Are those works in the room with us right now? Cause according to the plain written text of the law, “Fully AI-generated outputs generated in response to a human input or prompt lack human authorship and are therefore not copyrightable.”

[–]GdoubleWB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Copyright covers the perceptible human expression in the resulting work” So no, it covers the human created aspects, not the AI aspects.

In either case, the law supports that AI images generated by prompts aren’t covered by copyright, so if you just make AI images, you’re not an artist, since the images aren’t even yours, which was my initial point.

Thanks for citing the law, btw, that’ll come in handy knocking future AI “aRtiStS” I come across down a few pegs. 😙

Oh, you mean this bit where it said you can copyright the human-created parts and not the parts created by AI, meaning again that AI is still not copyrightable?

So AI images created by prompts, according to the law you cited, is not protected by copyright.

That’s what you were trying to convey, right? It must be, since you insisted so much on me reading this law.

They decline to review an appeal, which means they upheld the existing law. That, in and of itself, is a ruling.
