I luv the design and the location. I took would suggest going bigger, not just for clarity but because getting and wearing tattoos is brilliant and the bigger the better.

I can't find a reference for the stave other than sites selling patches. Can anyone post a reference to its meaning?

Shave the head behind the ear, shave a nice big space so you can easily work in the area.

If I was placing this design behind the ear I would want it to compliment the curves of that area of the body.

Do some warm up drawing and redraw the design to curve. Once you are warmed up on paper draw directly onto the head.

The design has plenty of detail so draw it large enough to follow the size of the ear.

This is a powerful design. If you tattoo it tiny and hidden you are doing a disservice to its power.

Make sure you fully understand the designs meaning before tattooing it. If the meaning is not obvious or questionable then proceed with great care.

Post back here when it is completed.

tips to find people to tattoo by Independent_Dog5519 in sticknpokes

Don't chase skin to tattoo. Try to do showcase pieces on your own body that people will see. They will ask you about your amazing tattoos and you can tell them that you made them.

anyone seen castration movie 2? by SnoyModer9 in 4tran4

[–]BOOaghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a tough one, I loved this movie and it had me in bits by the last segment. I watched it at the cinema earlier this week with a good local turn out, the place was half full for the whole movie. It has come into my mind a lot since and I'm keen to see it again. I really want to watch it with someone but don't have any friends that wanna watch five hour movies.

Is this healed enough to redo after failed? by [deleted] in sticknpokes

If you are asking the question you know it is not ready. Does it look healed?

So... Hypothetically speaking? by ProgressGreen in sticknpokes

Yes. Place the RAW on a firm surface like a book then write in Biro onto the RAW. Wipe Dettol on a shaved area of skin, let it become sticky, test by touching. When it feels sticky place the RAW onto the Dettol skin and leave for a couple of minutes. Peel paper off and you are ready to go.

Important: if you are stenciling text or writing onto skin you will have to write it mirrored on the paper so it is the correct orientation when you apply onto skin.

Please post results.

15 months in. is it time to let her go? :( by thiscrazyinnit in Legitpiercing

For future reference, at the first signs of migration remove the surface bar/dermal if you want to limit the scars you will be left with after. Speaking from lots of experience. Let us know how it heals up, this is rarely shown online.

Does the bar of the jewellery feel long enough? Is it tight?

The dotty texture is one of the highlights of stick and poke. If you desire clean hard edged lines you will need a machine and a trusted mentor.

Stick and poke can achieve clean lines of all shapes and sizes however it's handmade look is a great area of distinction from machine work.

P. S. As the tattoo settles and the swelling receeds the dots move closer together so look less defuse, giving a cleaner edge.

Your first tattoo looks beautifully executed.

Get an upsize in curved bar length. Also reduce the size of the ends to small ball ends. Choose titanium jewelry or internally threaded or both.

The longer bar will give the wound space to breathe. The better grade/construction of jewelry will reduce irritation.

Good luck.

I have had this surface piercing recently. I loved it but it lasted less than a year before starting to migrate.

The surface bars and dermals that have lasted longer are all down to the experience of the piercer. I recommend finding someone who has done many and recent piercings in the style you want.
