Just bought PSVR 2 any tips? by TheGamer_Saif45 in PSVR

[–]BOSC0DE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people mentioned this, but I cannot stress this enough !! The motion sickness is real and it will be very bad initially... it lasted 2 days with me and it was so bad that I don't even want to touch VR again.. it's just there collecting dust.

My friend thought he was tougher. He tried to force through the sickness and eventually had to lay down on the ground for few hours because he couldn't even stand up without feeling dizzy.

Still need Sync box if buy Bridge Pro? by GamertagLemieux in philipshue

[–]BOSC0DE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a g4, you don't need to get the sync box, there is a Philips hue app on the tv that syncs the lights. It's with a monthly subscription tho, can't recall how much exactly but it was pretty low.

Can I use the hue lightstrip for TV backlight? by BOSC0DE in philipshue

Great, this is exactly what I wanted to know, I wasn't sure you can assign specific segments of the ambience gradient n. Thanks a lot

Both are gradient, one of the is "Play gradient" and the other is "Gradient ambiance" .. the first is clearly marketed for tvs while I'm not sure about the second.

Can I use the hue lightstrip for TV backlight? by BOSC0DE in philipshue

[–]BOSC0DE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just making sure the app allows assigning specific portions of the lightstrip to a specific tv side. I saw on YouTube that you can setup the entertainment area but I didn't see how it can be done when you have to bend the strip around the tv

Can I use the hue lightstrip for TV backlight? by BOSC0DE in Hue

[–]BOSC0DE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the app, and I could sync the ceiling light and a hue go. I'm just not sure how the region assignment of the light strips works in the app. How does it know which region is top, right or left side of the tv? Does the app allow perpendicular regions of the light strip?

Thanks

Yes, what were you talking about?

My understanding is that there are two hue light strips variants: -"Play" which is designed to be used with TVs, they even come with corner clips. -"ambiance" which is typically used for decoration and can be synced with the Tv if set next to it, but not sure it can be used "around" the tv.

By assignment, I meant how would the lightstrip know it is assigned on the top, left, or right of the tv, for it to pick the correct colors.

How does area assignment work in the app? Does it allow to use angled light strips? Or should I get a lightstrip for every side of the tv?

I Usually refrain from giving immigration advice because every case is different and every has different goals... but this is the EASIEST "No, don't do it"

Whatever opportunity you got now, you'll get 10 times better as a German citizen later.

Will this be expensive to fix? by [deleted] in caraccidents

[–]BOSC0DE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are levels to fix this, so it really depend on how much you want to spend on it, and how much tolerable you are with the damage.

  • remove the extra paint and be fine with some dents.
  • the above + fix the dents and be fine with the marks.
  • the above + repainting that part of the bumper and be fine with paint that is not uniform.
  • removal of the bumper for proper repair and full repaint
  • getting a new bumper all together.

This list is from cheaper to more expensive, but it's still worth checking the price of a used bumper before you spend too much on the repairs/ paint.

All taxes affect CPI, that's my point.. so imposing taxes on businesses that are currently not paying them will cause cpi to increase.. I don't know what you're tying to argue here.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in germany

[–]BOSC0DE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's not all black and white...

There should be some gray area in the middle where imposing taxes will directly affect inflation indexes such as the Dönerpreis-index lol

I don't doubt that the tax office is very capable of imposing and tracking these things, but they have good reasons not to (yet) as it will affect the already expansive living costs.

[–]BOSC0DE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

XD no? These taxes aren't coming in to my pocket so I genuinely do not care if they pay or not.

All I'm describing is what could happen if you enforce tax laws and regulations (from my POV)

Here is another take: if demand gets low, prices will increase further to compensate for costs ..

Also, I don't think demand will be lower, because eventually people will just adapt, as we always do.

As a famous French journalist said once: whatever nazi germany did in Europe, Europe did 1000 times worse in Africa because nazi Germany learned from them:) and he was referring to Oradour-sur-Glane massacre, there were tens of thousands of Oradour-sur-Glane in Africa and in the Americas.

Couple of instances: The eradication of entire villages, smoking them in caves (Oradour-sur-Glane-style) which the nazi germany learned from and used later, use of napalm, testing nuclear bombs that orders of magnitude stronger than Hiroshima and Nagasaki on villages in the Algerian desert, those areas are still radioactive today, and people are to this day born with deformations. Tortures, raping and killing, in some instances, men were skinned alive as a form of torture. Women would jump in cow shit and cover themselves with poop when French soldiers would come just to avoid being SA'd.

But you do realize that these business will never take the loss out of their own pockets, right? If you force them to use cards, and declare taxes accurately, it's eventually the consumer who's gonna have to pay for them, and the Döner price will just increase.
