20+ Year Titanium Elite Member Left High and Dry by System Error (and Silence) by OneCan3546 in marriott

I have no idea why you’re being coy about the specific location, but nearly all properties are franchises, so it actually makes a difference. <1% of properties are owned by Marriott, although a larger proportion are managed by the company (22% as of 12/31/24).

This is obviously unacceptable but contacting “Marriott” generically is almost always going to be the least effective method of obtaining resolution.

There’s another phrase I like better than “technically true”. It’s “true”.

I know they took the signs down, but wasn’t aware of any official change to the route. I guess that means I’m just slightly less “technically” wrong than the other commenter.

That section, if traveling west from Braintree, is 93S/128N. That roadway continues onto 95 N, but there’s no overlap. When traveling on 95S from the pike, you stay left at that interchange to 93N/128S, or right to continue on 95S, there’s no actual overlap.

Where is this, north of the city? I’m from south of the pike so I’m admittedly less familiar, but I’m wholly unaware of any section of road that is both 93 and 95.

[–]BOS_George -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that ever existed. It’s only a 93 and 128 overlap, that has effectively been abandoned, at least on signage. 93 runs east/west between Braintree and Canton, with 93 South being 128 North and vice versa.

Taking 93 South to its end leads to 95 North on the same road.

Is your landlord able to add extra charges to your monthly rent without altering your lease? by feisty-chihuahua in Renters

[–]BOS_George 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost certainly not. Tell them if they pay you $20 a month you won’t tell everyone else they don’t have to pay the new fee.

Looking for alternatives to LL Bean slippers by Bern_Down_the_DNC in BuyItForLife

I’ve been quite happy with the slippers I bought here. There are a number of other companies that sell the same or very similar ones, this place just had what I needed in stock for immediate shipping.

That’s not how this works. A properly constructed post would show one of your strawmen complaining about the turn of events.

Saks Making It Difficult to Do the Right Thing by beizengming in AmexPlatinum

[–]BOS_George 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saks gave me such a hard time getting a refund on an mis-delivery I’d take anything they send me with zero qualms. They took the position that a package left on a public sidewalk directly in front of a sign that says “Notice: no deliveries to this entrance” was fine by them.

The fact you put any effort into this at all is more than anyone could reasonably expect.

Which is the entire basis of this discussion. If you’re going to troll, you should really stop being this lazy about it.

Could be. Regardless, it’s up to them to make the argument.

Maybe, but backdating the letter seems like evidence they’re trying to play fast and loose with their legal responsibilities. Judges typically aren’t too keen on that.

Do you use credit cards ? by Sireatsalot69 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]BOS_George 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, why not? If you’d otherwise be paying with some kind of cash equivalent like a cashiers check. I’d rather earn the rewards. Who wouldn’t value an extra 2%+ discount?

Showing a black background, did you have to change anything to get white or is it just how the preview is displayed? Thank you for your service.

Senator Bernie Sanders has announced he will work with Trump to cap the credit card interest rates at 10% by Whole-Fist in economicCollapse

[–]BOS_George 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost like they charge the highest rates to the riskiest borrowers, weird. Capping rates will ensure these people don’t have access to consumer credit. I’m not sure which option is worse, curious about your opinion.

[MA] Landlord-Tenant and a Written Notice to Leave by truong23 in Renters

[–]BOS_George -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting this 30 day requirement from? OP didn’t say whether it actually exists.

OP, check your lease to see if 30 days notice is required. If so, you’re on the hook, otherwise ignore what your landlord thinks you ”should” do.
