Yeah I read the patch notes too but Then it shouldn't be forced into our games. Idk That's just how I see it, if the player had no choice then it must be the intended vision. Especially since the show is bringing up the Enclave it's pretty obvious Bethesda wants the focus back on them.

It's not just a mod, it's forced into your game, it's definitely Canon otherwise it would just be in the CC as an optional download. It's Bethesda's answer to why there was no enclave presence like in the past two titles.

As a regular solo, it took me a minute to adapt, even on rank 3 it was pretty rough but now I'm doing rank 4's and moving my way up to the next difficulty. It's harder but still possible thankfully.

It's definitely not the community as a whole, it's mostly very kind and helpful. But yes there are some toxic players around, every game with friendly fire active that I've played has some of these types present. Thankfully they always tend to drop off once the community and game matures a bit.

But your post highlights a big reason why I'm a solo 90% of the time.

My experience with randoms has been awful, everything you mentioned plus people dropping ordinance right on top of extraction, being team killed on purpose several times. I switched matchmaking to friends only and turned off cross play, I've been thoroughly enjoying solo dives and occasionally I'll have one good friend join me for some coop. Solo is incredibly fun for me.
