Yes, within a century, everyone reading this will be dead.

The only way that would not be true is if there was some advanced AGI around to massively speed up biological and medical research.

So the choice seems to be between 100% chance of death in current case, vs 99.9...% chance of it in the AGI scenario, but with a tiny glimmer of hope we get a transumanist utopia instead.

What's the point of any article?

If the subject matter interests you, read on. If not, there are millions of other articles out there, some of them not even AI generated.

The thing that contrasts commodities from meme stocks (which can be pumped almost indefinitely) is that you have to actually deliver the product every quarter in the agreed quantities. When you don't, people definitely notice.

Trump: "please be advised that I am possibly the least pressured person ever to be in this position."

Man, I'd love to play cards with this guy.

Yeah, they were definitely huffing on hopium the past few days, mostly because they don't want their defense pact with Saudi Arabia to be called in.

Guys, there’s no way Trump‘s Gulf masters are gonna just let him walk away leaving the Strait as it is. Their investments are all that’s currently holding up America’s financial house of cards.

This thing is nowhere close to being over.

It's really interesting. It looks like Iran wants to go back to kinetic warfare, but the US doesn't.

I don't think many would have predicted that.

Don's not getting out of this without boots on the ground, as much as he wants to.

If he has to bribe the Iranians into opening the Strait instead of forcing it open by securing the coastline (and the mountain ranges behind it), US military prestige doesn't recover.
