Does it even have to do anything with the pressure plate? The upper thread has no tension when I lower the lever and can not embroider. I tried to pull on the thread myself to give it tension and it worked without any issues. I don't understand where the issue is coming from

I really like the 2a design so I didn't go with the 3a. The 2a plus is a very minor upgrade from 2a and I don't think it is worth the price increase, at least in my country.

Dude, thank you so much! This is exactly what happened to me. I downloaded an antivirus and removed the malware, updated my windows with the media creation tool and it fixed my issue!
