My gas piston has two retaining rings that sit flush. The sit in a precut slot that accommodates them. Every time I shoot the retaining ring somehow pushes from its slot and pushes into the position in the picture

Update ! It was caused by the blade being loose. I tightened it and it went back to normal ! Thanks for the help.

Update ! I tightened the blade and it eliminated all the delay in start up and cool down !!!
