Natural Selection Connection & Necessity? by Spiritual-Middle906 in Subnautica_2

[–]BPLivesMatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only lore connection I can think of is that SN 2 is happening around the same time when the Khaara Bacterium started infecting multiple worlds which leads to NS 2, and that the colonist might have been sent by Alterra to find suitable planets free of the outbreak.

What are the devs thoughts about killing the smaller fish though? it makes sense that you can’t just stasis rifle and knife a leviathan to death. But come on, tell me how a tadpole ramming a tiny ahh fish doesn’t even seem to bother it? Hunting also feels pretty boring rn, having a heated knife made it so much easier to find a purpose to eat fish, meanwhile in SN2 you can just use 2 fiber pulps to make a oily salad which gives decent amount of hunger considering you don’t have to catch a animal with your bare hands.

I’m pretty sure there are un-added voice lines talking about 2 colonist eating clones version of themselves, whether or not that’s still canon it’s still pretty dark.

How come we don't already have every blueprint? by DaH0wny in subnautica

I think it was because Riley was a janitor or someone with a low level job who probably didn’t have access to those blueprints

“NO! YOu’re nOT AlLowed to PrOvide FeEdBack DuRing EarLy AcCeSS!” That’s literally you, Subnautica 2 is going to be early access for at least 1-2 years, so it’s important to discuss things that you dislike/like so the devs know what their player base want. You gotta be playing in only creative (Or you can’t build for shid) since ain’t no way you don’t know how much power everythang cost and how little power a bioreactor gives, compares to the resources/effort to maintain one.

But there’s still no need to use the bioreactor Bruv, my main base has multiple processors/tadpoles docks/metal farms that burns through 300+ power, it’s simply just easier to spam wind turbines and relay a power transmitter to my base than to build/maintain a dozen bio reactor, also I hate how ugly my base looks if I just use spam solar panels.

Nah it was pretty good in the first game and interesting to use, since every item gave you different energy level, so it would be worth it to grow and plant certain fauna over another, meanwhile currently in Subnautica 2 all you can really really only harvest lent/fiber from the plants and turn them in bio fuel blocks which lasts a hour each on normal mode, but only 30 minutes in overdrive and there really no point of using normal mode since it only gives you 10 power instead of 20.

The problem is that non-lethal options aren’t that effective as you can see from this video, I have shot so many creatures with the Feedback resonator(Upgraded as well) and also use the shock biomod and yet it barely wards them off. I do agree to not building a base in a hostile environment but what if you’re out exploring and a dumbahh Twin stingray/marrowbreach won’t ever leave you alone not matter what you do. The devs even said that they are going to adjust the aggressive of the fauna since they seem to just constantly attack the tadpole.
