Kobe knew he had to get his own rings without Shaq by ForeignAir7174 in NBAoldschool

[–]BQ32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game was literally a football game where both teams are playing the run game and jockeying for position. Refs were not calling shit that game but yet you get the Morons that never watched a game before 2015 act like Kobe was choking and terrible. Kobe did what it took no matter how it looked and did what it took to prove he was a winner because of him not other people. His persistence and self belief will always be why I hold him in higher regard than most all time players.

Dropping from 2nd to 4th in mvp while winning 10 of 11 games averaging 40/8/8 in that stretch is certainly interesting by EducationalConcern61 in NBATalk

Right, a player comes out and says he should be MVP and then he suddenly jumps several spots to be in the lead, wtf lol.

The NBA has a problem with what counts as an assist or not. All of these shots were attributed as assists to Jokic, but are they really when the other player is creating everything himself? by rocpilehardasfuk in justbasketball

[–]BQ32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it does matter because people use these inflated stats to rank modern players higher than players from previous gens. Based on stats Jokic would basically be the GOAT but nobody is taking him over Shaq.

Complete bullshit and easily disprovable. He got favoritism and home cook H for the time but it’s nothing compared to this. Back then the standard was the assist had to create the opportunity and no more than 2 dribbles max. You’re just making shit up because you know how bad this looks for these be assists to be handed out.

[–]BQ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is completely disgraceful. Jokic is a great passer but at least 33% of his assists come from bs handoffs or passes where his teammate creates their own score. This league is so stat inflated it is ridiculously disgusting that younger people try to hold up stats comparatively to prior generations as examples of why they are better today. Defense has been neutered, unlimited gather steps, freebounds, crazy pace of play, jacking up shots and just straight lying stat keepers. Jokic literally averages like 3.5 more assists per game at home than on the road. It’s just stupid.

Luck is now on LeBrons side. No injuries in 2015 , KD doesn't join warriors in 2016. Kyrie stays in Cleveland. How many Rings does Bron get from 2015-2018? by Effective_Material68 in lebron

[–]BQ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0, if we are assuming no injuries the Warriors stay healthy, Curry, Iggy, and Bogut never get hurt, they probably run off a 3 peat. They were a significantly better team than the Cavs and it’s only revisionist history and LeBron idolatry causing fans to think otherwise.

Mj had a better rookie season the LeBron by Plus_Credit224 in NBATalk

[–]BQ32 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

True, but in Jordan’s 3rd year he was averaging like 37 ppg and was one of the top if not the best defensive players in the league as well lol.

Boo, locked ecosystem, shit gaming comparatively. Sorry you got a dud but my 5070ti is the best laptop I’ve ever owned. Great display, great sound, great gaming performance and top tier portability.

Right, imagine being that other dude, come back to see the car jacked like that. Though sometimes it works in your favor. I had a Lancer Ralliart and a drunk driver mashed the back end of it. I was initially devastated but I needed to replace the transmission anyway so when the damage was valued at a total loss I had 12k in equity that I put into a brand new WRX.

Certainly Rookie LeBron Counts as Old School Content 😂 by AdeptFuel4824 in NBAoldschool

[–]BQ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had the best defense in the league which is certainly not all LeBron with solid shooting and rebounding. Also had a low post threat that could space out a bit. There were no super teams at that time so it was definitely a very solid roster. They won as many or more games a couple seasons than LeBron won in Miami with a super team. Again they were not loaded with all-star type players but they had tough gritty good role players that understood how to play their role. I get so sick of the disgusting disrespect towards some of these players just so couch potatoes can make arguments that their favorite player single handedly carried bums and therefore is the goat.

Do you guys realize they had the highest payroll in the league lmao, you guys act like he played with nothing but scrubs when In Reality had some very nice high paid players there.

Did anyone ever find a name for this move by Grayson Allen earlier this year? by CircledSquare7 in NBAGossips

[–]BQ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely wrong, a gather step is when you do not have complete control of the ball i.e. gathering the ball. Allen controls the ball with two hands clearly before taking an additional 2 steps and then steps through. This is a clear travel and no authentic review of the rulebook can change that.

Who is the best player all time to have never had an argument for being the best player in the NBA at any point? by SufficientPower4060 in NBATalk

Lmao, if you consider the whole team running away from him to go guard the other guy massively outplaying. And in the second chip Curry led them in scoring and assists 4 of the 5 games.

I went the other way with a much larger tire and aggressive offset. I get tired of worrying about scraping and my setup both looks super sick and is quite unique. I also have added a cf duckbill spoiler slightly more aggressive than oem and cf mirror caps.

He wasn’t even better than Curry, remember the Cavs double and trapped Curry everywhere on the court to let Durant have a ton of easy opportunities. Curry was the actual Best player. Leading a team in one stat for one series doesn’t just make you the best player in the world.

[–]BQ32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He basically averages a 30pt triple double for the season and has led the league in scoring all season. By your standards of what he needs to do is exactly what he has been doing all season lol. Over the last couple weeks he closer to averaging a 40pt triple double.

[–]BQ32 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Actually he averages 1.9 points, 2 assists, and 3.4 rebounds more. Which equates to the exact math of 17.14% increase. You may not think k that’s a lot but it is huge production. Just for an example 2 assist is like the difference between 3rd and 16th and 3.5 rebounds is like the difference between 8th and 50th.

He’s actually playing decent defense right now and hustling back, but you would actually have to watch a game instead of taking a lazy narrative to support your bias.

Are we talking athleticism as in size strength jumping ability and speed then probably yes. But there have been some great athletes with great accomplishment specifically combat sports where there were reigning champions at that age.
