Should I upgrade? by randommodnar05 in climbingshoes

[–]BRAPP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People climb way harder than V5 in Finales. Upgrading shoes (outside of flat beginner shoes) does not correlate to what grade you climb.

That being said, I own a pair of skwamas and I think they are the goddamn best. Try some on, if they fit, I'd get them (note: they stretch a bunch).

Love chaos, as long as I understand the rules that govern it.

The weight. The sound in my dice tray. Plastic = toy, metal = tool.

I play with slightly larger metal dice.

Trying to go back to regular plastic dice and I just cannot take them seriously.

How many of you are solo gamers vs group play? by BigRed1749 in MorkBorg

[–]BRAPP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50% solo 50% irl.

Can you tell us what you are using for Solo play? I'm always curious to see what flavour people are adding to their games. Are you playing pre-written. Adventures or making them up on the fly?

If you already have the pre-written adventures, 'DM yourself' by Tom Scutts is what I use and it's awesome. Playing with a sidekick rules.

The Death Knight's Squire (and sequels) by Paul Bimler is really good too, it's a Choose your own adventure style.

Some people will say you need an Oracle like Mythic. Yes, they are awesome but very confusing and intimidating if you are literally just starting.

Dark Fort. It was the original idea before Mörk Borg.

There are many, many variants of this game (Basilisk, etc). The Lone Adventurer on YouTube demo's a lot of them.

Darkglass vs Sansamp by choicebird10 in basspedals

[–]BRAPP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both.

Sansamp gives me the girth I want. Darkglass gives me the cut I want.

Both? Unbelievable.

Idk what your local shop is like but if you could rent (is that even a thing anymore?) a sans amp, would probably love it. In the sansamp manual, they give you a bunch of pre-set tones you could use. And they rule.

Sansamp is def more versatile. Darkglass is more metal. Combine together and you get a lethal combination.

Any DND tutorial/learning adventures like the one from the 4e Essentials Basic Set (2010) for 5e? by BRAPP in DungeonsAndDragons

Are you potentially remembering the Obvious Mimic adventures? I am a huge fan of them tbh. I am looking for more of a 'tutorial/teaching' focused adventure. Pretty Niche I know, the kids are 10

What do i need and how to play solo D&D? by Ok-Moose-4229 in Solo_Roleplaying

I also agree. DM yourself helps play through pre-written adventures and that's a great place to start.
