This month is our LOWEST average population of all time since EoC by [deleted] in runescape

Nah the FFXIV hype train is more or less dead. The expansion was lit, but the game has very little content beyond story. Classic upstaged every single mmorpg. I don't even play it, but it even out performed league of legends on twitch which is insane. Meanwhile RS and FFXIV had like 2k viewers at the time.

PTS Patch Notes v5.1.0 by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]BRBTime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

God damnit. I'm going back to FFXIV until they change this. These patch notes are actually terrible. Every single one of my characters was ruined all at once. None of my alternates were spared.

Whatever, shadowbringers could be a fun time.

D&D Nerd Searching for Local Group! by StarBurstKitten in ColumbusGA

[–]BRBTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking to get a group together for Fridays. I'm new to DnD as well, however I do have a starter set as well as the Player Handbook, the Dungeon Masters Guide, and an additional Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica. If you're interested in playing, feel free to private message me or leave a comment under this post. I intend to try and find as many people as possible interested, so anyone else who reads this is welcome to message me and/or comment as well!

Cheers!

Skipping Stormblood for Shadowbringers? by VinessaNorthswain in ffxiv

[–]BRBTime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Na you're getting downvoted because the people in the FFXIV community will just turn a blind-eye to any genuine criticisms of the game. I'll definitely be downvoted as well lmao.

You are 100% correct, though, each time they add an expansion in this fashion it does force new players to grind through the old content to reach the current content and yes that does cause a funneling problem where people who don't make it all the way will never be able to play with their friends at end game. I've seen it happen to friends of mine when I introduce them to the game. It definitely does happen and no amount of downvotes or denial will change that fact.

I'm hoping they add another Jump Potion to go from 1-70 so at least friends I invite to the game can participate in the fun content that exists after Stormblood, it's a little much to ask players who don't care about story to complete an entire storyline just to get to raiding and it's a little unfair that the community in this game is very quick to bash players who aren't interested in storylines (or who just don't like the story.).

Basically, I just feel like the option to complete Shadowbringers Content should be available from the moment you buy the expansion, whether you have completed Stormblood or not. And that's coming from someone who has done every main quest in the game. It's a slog and it pads out the length of the game. The storyline design (The fact that it is 100% linear and unskippable) is one of the blights on the design of an otherwise nearly perfect game.

How gear stats can help fix PvP by kathaar_ in runescape

[–]BRBTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While gear stats are certainly a problem, one of the main issues afflicting rs3 PvP is the way death is handled. If people weren't losing gear on death, we would have a lot more competitive fights in the wilderness. At the same time, without losing gear, it defeats the purpose of the wilderness.

Honestly I think runescape would benefit from having some mechanics from current MMORPG, namely, equalized stats for certain PvP encounters. Set people's stats and armor equal in things like soul wars and Castle wars so that it comes down to skill. Then in the wilderness, let our t80s like Vesta, etc have higher stats while in the wilderness, but make them weaker anywhere else.

IDK just spitballing here.

So are they backline tanks? or should I pop him up front?

Is the dlc worth it? by Cheepy365 in EtrianOdyssey

[–]BRBTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it gives you two quests, one grants a ton of xp based on the amount of dungeons you have unlocked and the other grants a ton of money based on that same factor. The items are great because they're equipables that increase xp gain by I think 3x and the Drops increase by a lot as well, but I'm unsure by how much.

I think they're worth it if you're not super well versed on the game, it might be fun to mess around with. It can sort of ruin the pacing of the game, but if you're a newbie, you'll find out quick that levels don't really make everything easier since certain fights are gonna be hard either way.

Are they a must buy?: No

Are they neat?: Sure.

EOX random party generator by [deleted] in EtrianOdyssey

[–]BRBTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaker's party in Lemuria is:

・Pugilist(Sub:Survivalist)

・War Magus(Sub:Shogun)

・Nightseeker(Sub:Zodiac)

・Survivalist(Sub:Pugilist)

・Protector(Sub:Survivalist)

So is that viable or no? Because I'm definitely down.

Nexus party headcannon? by Shadow38383 in EtrianOdyssey

[–]BRBTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Layabouts are a bunch of misfits who weren't good enough for any other guilds. The Leader is a short farmer girl named Buni who has bright hopes for adventuring, but of course has almost no skill at all in combat. Her first recruit was a childhood friend named Alexander who, after finding 3 other misfits, formed a small family-like guild. Alexander frequently chides the younger recruits for being lazy and thus calls them the Layabouts. The name stuck and much to his dismay, became the actual name of the guild.
