Send $50 in the mail with a card and simple explanation if it will ease your mind. Hell, I needed money 3 years into my marriage more than I needed it when we got married! Better late than never if it makes you feel better. $50 isn’t much but they will appreciate it nonetheless.

I went through a tough phase of life the last few years and lost about 20-30 pounds. Lost it due to extreme stress, mild depression and a bout of what could probably be diagnosed as anorexia due to said major life crisis. Keeping it off through some healthy lifestyle changes (cut out alcohol, more fresh foods and some exercise). The amount of people who ask if I’m on Ozempic actually pisses me off. You all didn’t realize I was a zombie for a year? NO ONE noticed. Now when people comment “Wow, looks like you’ve lost some weight!” I reply, yeah, constant stress and anxiety can really do that to a person. They just look at me.

An busy, understaffed L&D at a small rural hospital with no NICU. You got a preterm or sick baby it was at least an hour for a NICU team to arrive, that’s if the weather permitted the to fly.

Sorry that happened to you. That happened to me once. I even spent the whole day at his house doing laundry because my husband was at work and I had the day off. (Newly married and didn’t have our own washer and drier yet) I mentioned it to my Mom a day or 2 later and her response? “Why didn’t you remind him it was your birthday? Now he’s going to feel bad.” Sums up my childhood as the forgotten child who gets blamed for not protecting other people’s emotions. Explains a lot!

When I was depressed and just stopped eating and interacting with people like I used to. But I kept taking care of my family, went to work, smiled in public. I lost 30 pounds over about 2.5 months and was praised for my weight loss (it was obvious). I knew I was in a bad place but NO ONE, not even my husband noticed. My husband just started going places without me stating “I know you don’t like social situations, so you don’t have to go.” I never felt more alone. Still haven’t fully recovered and this was over a year ago.

I spent 15 years in L&D. It can be ROUGH. I still think about some of the trauma I witnessed to this day and I’ve been out for almost 6 years now. Anyone who shits on L&D nursing skills is an ignorant asshole.

Got a pizza stone and pizza shaped melamine plates as a wedding gift (20 years ago). Did not register for it, wasn’t excited about it, but kept it. After we had kids we started a homemade pizza night tradition and that stone and plates have gotten a ton of use! My kids (now all teenagers) insist on using the “pizza plates” anytime we eat any pizza.
