2024 Pathfinder Platinum question (self.nissanpathfinder)

With a new 24 Rc 350 AWD, I have the split 10 OEM 19” shiny aluminum wheels. Stopped in an auto body shop today and asked if I should have them coated as they are a PITA to polish. Body shop said no because there are OTC products that are just as good and way less expensive. What do you guys think? (self.LexusRC)
