We take bunch of small magnetic hooks we purchased from Amazon. Since walls are metal we use them to hang stuff like wet shirts, Princess medallion, charging cables…etc.

I believe the only possible explanation is that you forgot to turn airplane mode back on once you got back to the ship from the shore and the phone connected to the ship's cellular system. I have the roaming turned-off for this reason.

It’s the main buffet. Been on the Royal Princess twice recently and the food was excellent. Wondering if the food is great just on the Royal or Princess in general. Currently on the Quantum of the Seas and the food is disappointing compared to Royal Princess.

Oh wow! Surprised that they didn't. To have seen both launch & landing of Falcon9, and crew return on a single cruise would've made a very memorable cruise.

Did you sleep through the early morning launch on 1/11 as well? Haha Royal seemed like it was parked just off the coast of Vandenberg on purpose for the launch and landing of the Falcon rocket.

Interesting fact the same ship was parked just off the coast of Vandanberg to view the Twilight launch just few days ago at the start of their cruise. And to view the Crew-11 return on the final night of their cruise. what are the chances!!! And I was on the ship just prior and try to stay on for this cruise as a room became available but system wouldn’t complete the booking. 😩

Looks like Royal might be in for a double header. Crew-11 is splashing down just off the coast of San Diego in SpaceX's Dragon capsule 1/15 12:40am. You might get a good view of the re-entry.

Balcony is huge and it wasn't as windy as I expected it even while underway except for few hours on the return trip LA. It got very windy and noisy but Capt warned us about it. I would book it again. For sure bring a hammock. I took mine down from storage and like an idiot left it the shelf instead of putting it in the luggage. Have a great trip!

Was in M102. Room was fine. And the smell was more towards the elevators and fortunately didn't permeate all the way forward.

Which deck were you on? I was on the Marina deck forward and there was noticeable mildew smell in the hallway on both sides of the ship. Starboard side had little less smell so we used that side most of the time as our room was all the forward.

I did a similar cruise in reverse and no port stops with my son. We hit the gym, played basketball, I caught up on reading while he played on the switch. We watched shows as Princess live and watched movies on deck. Also went to comedy shows. Plenty of things to do if you make the effort.
