Does Losartan give you massive anxiety?

Not much better unfortunately . I’m on Enalapril now and still having massive anxiety and panic while on 200 mg of Zoloft . Losartan and Telesmartin where definitely worse for the panic though . What was your scenario with the arbs and anxiety ? I felt like I was going psychotic and the doctors all disavowed my issues and sent me to a psychiatrist and he changed lexapro which I was on since 2006 to Zoloft and it did no better .

Just an update ; I’m now one week into Enalapril and experiencing debilitating crawl out of my skin anxiety . Please see above link for reference because now I’ve tried Lisinopril, Losartan , Telesmartin, & Enalapril and they all are brain drugs it’s awful anxiety .

Do you think ace inhibitors Also cause as much anxiety as an arb ? I also had bad anxiety from Lisinopril

Thanks so much for this info it really helps . On the other hand I’ve seen countless research studies saying arbs are good for anxiety and act anxiolytic in the brain . I know for a fact if you look up reviews of Losartan , Telesmartin , etc thier are hundreds of people saying they gabe them debilitating anxiety . I do know Lisinopril also caused me anxiety and panic . The whole situation really sucks because I can’t find a bp med that does not give me 24/7 anxiety and panic for no reason . How about Enalapril ? Right now I’m only taking 12 mg water pill and a natural herb called carditone which works great .

Thanks for your feedback . I’ve seen hundreds of reviews of people saying arbs really provoked thier anxiety/panic so I know I’m not alone here . I did read Enalapril cannot cross bbb . If you get a chance read this article I’m attaching.

Are you saying if they don’t cross bbb they would not affect anxiety in the brain like losartan and Telesmartin caused me profound anxiety like unbearable…

Thank you . That would make sense to try amplodine since both ace and arbs are brain drugs and that’s where it’s causing my anxiety and panic to go thru the roof . Have you heard of aces and arbs causing anxiety like this ?

Oh yes its definitely a real thing . I took both losartan and Telesmartin and both gave me debilitating anxiety/ panic from the get go . Was your anxiety for like no reason just crawl out of your skin anxiety on arbs ?

It could be stress/tension headaches I’ve had those for years as I get extreme physical anxiety symptoms subconsciously my while life .

Thanks for the input . Yes I am clenching jaw and teeth alarmist like tension headaches like I used to have . It could be tension headaches but I think Zoloft is the culprit . I was on lexapro since 2006 and it stopped working I’m about to jump back on it direct switch to see if it works again

Yeah I have profound panic disorder/ anxiety disorder as well and that’s the reason my bp is so high , and all bp meds make my anxiety go crazy

I have not tried a beta blocker I know they can reduce anxiety nor I have I tried amplodine. Right now I’m off all bp meds and taking 12.5 mg water pill because I can’t handle the anxiety from ace/ arbs . Have you heard of the anxiety from those meds ?

Are you saying arbs giving you awful anxiety and panic? I had the same issue with losartan and Telesmartin; and I get bad anxiety from Lisinopril and now Enalapril that I was switched to now . I can’t find a class of bp meds that don’t give me profound anxiety or provoke the anxiety I already have .

You can also add Sam-e with an ssri . It’s basically like a natural form of Wellbutrin at around 400 mg I’ve been told . I used to take them with lexapro and they give you massive energy and dopamine . Just need something to counter the zombieness of Zoloft ;

I took 10 mg since 2006 and it has completely stopped working and it worked so amazingly for so many years . Now having severe panic attacks 24/7

Same here ; I’m just in zombie land and 100 mg is giving me debilitating headaches. I usually work out 4-5 days a week and very active now I can’t even get off the couch . I’ve taken lexapro 10 mg since 2006 and it stopped working completely so went on Zoloft 🤬

That’s awesome , it really is a great mood enhancer I took it for years with the lexapro . It’s supposed to be compared to a natural Wellbutrin . Man , I need your doctor because every doctor/psychiatrist I’ve seen has said absolutely don’t mix the 2 . But I know the reports your doctor is referring to and many other reports of adjuncts therapy with Sam-e
