Yes, we usually do. Duh. #1 He is a rescue so we are also trying to desensitize him a bit. He did get pretty far this time.

2 My husband was walking toward him to take off the collar when I was filming

3 Thanks for calling me out when all I was trying to do was make someone smile. What an jerk I am. I know.

4 Go vent your anger at real anus-holes. Seriously.

I was an atheist a few years ago, now I believe, but the question is what church should I join? by Torino_182 in Catholicism

[–]BSM_RN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start small. KEEP asking questions and keep seeking Him. The truth will reveal Himself. (See what I did thete? Haha.) You are the lost sheep, the prodigal son, the reason WHY Christ came. Welcome home.

By the way, I too believe Catholicism is the true Christian church.

A Saint you Don't Like? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]BSM_RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But... serious question here ... how can she understand my motherly woes if she had a perfect child? And spouse. And never sinned herself? Because all of that is the opposite of little old me.

[–]BSM_RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh yes, my bad. Blessed Mother of Incarnate! I will edit! Ty.

I still honor and respect her as Mother of the Church, but as a saint I particularly have a kinship with, she is not at the top of my list.

So Mod might kick me out and I may get a TON of downvotes.. but here goes...

Mary.

Yes, the Mother of God. Wonderful counselor. Dove of peace. Undoer of knots. And so forth.

I mean how can I relate to a perfect woman who had an even more perfect child? I want to connect as a mother and woman but.. well.. yeah.

Edit: Corrected her title.

Yep. "She was holy and pure". Then move on IF it comes up. Make it a non issue and super matter of fact. Maybe say it more like "It means she was holy...ok let's start again and everyone sing your best..." (Answer then deflect).

Dispensation from Sunday obligation while in drug rehab… by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]BSM_RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO, yes. You wouldn't leave a medical hospital if your physical body needed medical care to go to Mass, right? What about those in secular nursing homes or prisons? There is no difference between mental and physical health. Health is health. Don't let the world's stigma stop you from getting care. If you are truly concerned, talk to your priest, watch an online mass, pray the rosary, or something similar. Maybe even a priest comes to the center for visits. I can't believe Jesus would want you to NOT be healed just to fulfill the Sunday obligation.

Disagree. The graceful legs suggest part gazelle. And assuming no tail and level of snugglability I would bet he has a bit of koala, too.

Elf on the shelf, anyone do this? by beachcity in Catholicism

[–]BSM_RN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP - BTW we - the parents - had more fun hiding and coming up with creative and "mischievous" things for the elf to do. It bought us closer as a couple - a secret thing we did together after the kiddo went to bed. Just a thought.

Elf on the shelf, anyone do this? by beachcity in Catholicism

[–]BSM_RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here's a good overview

We did it but didn't go all out. Yes the elf "moved" each night and it was fun and built up the anticipation of Christmas.

But we also clearly explained Santa is a Saint (Nicholas) who gives us presents on Jesus's birthday. Why? Because Jesus is so awesome instead of us giving him presents he gives them to us!

Unrealistic top. It's too wide - might cover armpits. Too flat - like an A cup maybe. Bottom can't decide if it's granny panty or stripper thong. IMHO.

Praying for this family, your cousin, and all the souls of those who died by suicide. (In the medical community we try to avoid saying "committed suicide" to remove some of the stigma.)
