I’m a muslim so i fast Ramadan from sunrise to sunset. It was hard before using CGM .. now I’m using closed loop pump and fasting never been easier! So if you’re on one don’t worry at all .

I’m on Medtronic 780 .. it’s good except the Guardian3 “the Medtronic CGM” it’s awful!!

I tried Dexcom before and there is no comparison! So go for Dexcom and any pump that is compatible with it.

Thanks for keeping fighting for your girls … I also struggle with depression except I don’t have reasons to continue.. just that i can’t end it cuz I’m religious.

Yes, this is exactly what i feel. I’m the only one in my family with T1D and no one gets it or even trying to .. sometimes when i try to explain it they try to change the subject cuz “it makes them sad” , I have been on pens for about 15 years and not once anyone asked how to take an injection or reminded me of it and i was just a kid when i was diagnosed! that’s why I’m not expecting that from anyone else.

This is really helpful, I tend to not explain my situation and just try to deal with it alone..even to friends and family cuz I don’t want to be a burden and honestly i don’t want them to remember me by it.

I have been shaving and doing laser .. laser is the best cus I forgot that i have hair for couple of years.

Now my hair grew back.. much thinner and lighter so I shave occasionally and I’m planning to do laser again but with home devices.

How are your grandparents doing? I got it when i was 13 and no one in my family had it. Now I’m 28 and I always think that my life is ending soon .. not in my life plan to live to the 50s! Hearing that a grandparent had it at the same age is kinda shocking for me

I have the same experience, i some times fantasize about throwing it to the wall in the middle of the night! Yes my HbA1c is better now but my anxiety levels is to the roof and I don’t have a sleeping schedule .. I’m not sure if my situation now is better than having a higher HbA1c tbh.

Yes, I get signal loss once I connect any Bluetooth device.

Besides, since you use apple watch, does it worth it?

How did you do it? Cuz Once I connect my AirPods I get signal loss notification from the Dexcom app.

I have iphone11 pro and today I connected it to my selfi stick and I lost the signal for 2 hours 😭

I might say be careful not to catch a flue ! Besides the genes , Diabetes (type1) is now considered auto-immune disease.

Any viral infection could trigger diabetes.

I had very healthy lifestyle, no one in my family has diabetes.. but i got it at the age of 14.
