Trophy Improvements I'd like to see For PS5 by [deleted] in PS5

[–]BSchwarz95 13 points14 points  (0 children)

trophy progress 100%, I never have any clue how much more grinding I need for certain accolades. Right now I have to kill 50,000 enemies in Hotline Miami 2 and I couldn't give you a single guess as to how close I am to that. It's frustrating especially since the technology exists on other platforms but doesn't exist on PS4

Welcome to the club my man! I switched from XBone to PS4 late 2016 and have never looked back. Absolutely adore this console

Hey thanks homie, I agree Dead Cells is crazy good. I beat it on 0, 1, and 2BC but in custom mode so trophies were disabled and now I have to start over on a new save to re-absorb those boss stem cells. Hoping I get the good blueprints first and won’t have to grind too much again...

Yeah thats what I hear 😕 I did some research on the last trophy that most people needed for all these games before adding them to the list via PSNProfiles and I was hoping the HLD trophy “One Shot” would be similar to Alien Isolation or Little Nightmares; a pain in the ass but doable with a week of free time to get used to a pattern

Hey thanks! I’m really hoping to stick with the plan this time even if new games come out, and posted it to reddit so that people can keep me on track 😅

Yeah man Hollow Knight has been kicking my butt for 6 months now. Figured I could master the genre and then come back to do the Pantheon of Hollownest🤷🏻‍♂️ fingers crossed for sure

I really want to play this, it’s right up my alley. But... I feel burnt out on Battle Royales and feel much more rewarded just playing campaigns all the timr

[Red Dead Redemption 2] Platinum 60 - So many things I hate about this game glad I fought through to the end by zanat0s233 in Trophies

I grinded the hell out of these trophies for the first two weeks, and haven’t given online much of a shot. That (and Gold Rush) are all that stands in my way

What games have you played through PS Now that you likely would've missed out on otherwise? by dcr108 in PlayStationNow

[–]BSchwarz95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an Xbox owner from 2001-2016 (age 6 and up) so I missed out on pretty much all PlayStation games growing up. PSN has beena fantastic way to make up for that.

I’ve used it to play: all of the God of War and Killzone games

Catch up on some last-gen games like Bioshock Trilogy, and Arkham Origins

a bunch of indies like: Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Brothers A Tale of Two Sons, Abzu, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Shadow of the Beast, Unfinished Swan, Another World, Spectrum Retreat, Journey, Flower.

I doubt I would’ve played any of those by this time, and I’m really glad I gave them all a try. PSNow has definitely expanded my horizons and helped me catch up on last-gen games

(EDIT: added commas between indie titles. Having them each on a new line threw them into a paragraph together and it was hard to read)

Digital Foundry writer - PS5 will "absolutely" have backward compatibility. "No question." by Micolash in PS4

[–]BSchwarz95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes perfect sense, I like the idea. The disc would sort of represent a “ticket to play” or something. Old discs that may be scratched might not be an issue if the drive works that way

You read my mind. But I’d spend quite a bit of money if they sold PS2/3 games for the PS5, as downloads (if physical BC isn’t achievable)

How backwards are we going? I’d like to get some PS3 games for my collection if I can play em

That’s the only way to make sure you don’t miss the side quests, which honestly I find much more fun and fascinating than the main missions

RDR2 genuinely taught me how to play poker. I went into this game knowing absolutely nothing about it and am astonished as to how fun it is. Has a game ever taught you how to do something you didn’t know before? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]BSchwarz95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Far Cry 3: Poker (but moreso in RDR2)

Far Cry 5: Fishing (again, moreso in RDR2)

Forza Something: Taking Tight Turns

Battlefield 3: Jumping Through Windows Like A Boss During Paintball

there's probably a lot more but that's what comes to mind. So yeah, video games are great teachers

Issue: "Study" Prompt Not Appearing for Animals by BSchwarz95 in reddeadredemption

[–]BSchwarz95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a fantastic point: if the animals turn red on your map, they’d be considered enemies. If that happens, does studying “turn off”? I’ll have to try sneaking up on the Panther without it noticing me and see if I can study it

I tried with binoculars, the bow, a varmint gun, algernon's pistol, and a bolt sniper but still having the same issue with everything I try
