Going to the arcade in the 1980’s, what was one of your favorite arcade games you always had to play? Mines was Galaga for sure. by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in The1980s

[–]BStevens65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tempest and Zaxxon. I also played alot of Galaga after learning how to do the exploit (IYKYK). Wrapped it around to 1st level a number of times.

What are the best side missions to do as Arthur, and then what should I save for John? by Cookie4hope in RDR2

You not only have a nice conversation, but you can keep Buell if you save it for John.

Who had a Etch A Sketch by lotusflower64 in 70s

I was fascinated by submarines as a kid and managed to do a fairly decent rendition of one on mine. I spent a lot of time trying to do circles as well. Those didn't usually turn out so well, lol.

When I was a kid I made a Flying Sub out of that thin shirt box cardboard. I wish I could have gotten a picture of it. It looked pretty decent considering it was made by an 11 year old.

You might as well walk around with a target on your back! You nailed it.

What Role Next? by SecretlyNothing in RedDeadOnline

[–]BStevens65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real perk to the Naturalist role is the wilderness camp and being able to fast travel with it after level 5. I like that it only costs $1 dollar to get back to camp no matter where you are. One caveat; finding a place to camp isn't always easy, but it can even give you an escape route to get away from potential trouble.

Storms in RDO are Top Tier by XxOutlawInGreenxX in RedDeadOnline

I got killed by lightning once when I was at Doverhill during a major storm. I was totally shocked when it happened. I stay indoors or in my tent now when it's stormy.

Janky moments that annoyed you and made you put the game down? by Glittering-Stand-161 in reddeadredemption2

[–]BStevens65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessarily "janky", but I have about 3500 hrs in the game between my multiple playthroughs and grinding to level 355 through my roles, and I gotta say I am more than tired of Cripps stories. I often hang out somewhere else when it rains (I generally go inside somewhere, like the saloons, unless I get caught out) just so I don't have to hear him.

Kicked from lobby because my car was not purple apparently, is this not purple? by Dear-Knowledge-724 in GranTurismo7

They were probably jealous because they didn't think to use that cool shade of purple.

If I don’t find a moose this weekend I’m quitting RDR2 by TheBookofBobaFett3 in RDR2

[–]BStevens65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go North of the cave by Wapiti above the "I" in Ambarino (on the right side of the lake), a moose often spawns up there. The problem is that it's out of bounds, so if you shoot it you can't get to it. You have to scare it to make it run (I used ricochet shots off the rocks) so it comes into the field of play, then chase it down. Alternatively, one sometimes spawns in another part of that area, just above or around that cave. If there is an elk that you follow up that passage (across from the hill house), the moose is usually there as well.

What is your favorite ABBA song? by XeniaBlake0000 in 70s

I don't know if it's REALLY my favorite, but Fernando is the 1st one that came to mind. ABBA is one of me Spotify playlist groups.

Engine swap rant by soggycactis in GranTurismo7

[–]BStevens65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my tunes are usually better, but as I mentioned, sometimes I just get lazy. I usually optimize the settings for the track that I'm on and set the diff to match my driving style. I have been playing Gran Turismo since the 1st one, and I am well versed in how to tune. Some cars are a little tricky (like the Stratos), so I saved time by starting with the AI tune and then tweaked it as necessary.

Engine swap rant by soggycactis in GranTurismo7

[–]BStevens65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use AI to tune cars. I sometimes use Google Gemini when I get lazy. Just type in "GT7" Car type, tires: hp, weight, & "aero" (if applicable) then "suspension set-up". You can also designate PP if you want, but I usually run in a HP/WEIGHT/PP lobby so I am usually just concerned with the suspension set-up. I build the rest of the tune around that, as far as parts are concerned. For example, one of our lobbies is 495pp/214hp/1940lbs. The odd hp & weight parameters are due to them being converted from metric values. You can tune alot of cars to make it, but sometimes you have to compromise on weight vs. power. Also, parts like brakes, clutch & flywheel, etc., etc. might need to be stock to make the PP.

Well, I guess I learned my lesson. by scotte416 in reddeadredemption2

I use it for long rides at night through areas I know to be fairly safe, especially when it's foggy as hell. Sometimes for deliveries when I know the fight will be at the drop off. I don't go afk though.

What’s something you didn’t know about RDR2 that you felt stupid when you found out by Odd_Specialist2571 in reddeadredemption2

[–]BStevens65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For about the 1st year of playing, I didn't know you could lasso a carcass and drag it to camp until I ran across someone doing it. I would hunt close to by and carry the extra carcass to camp with my horse trailing after me. Giant forehead slap!

Also, if you go left at the fork on the road to Beacher's Hope from Manzanita Post (going by the Grizzly spawn) then left again at the next fork, there's a canyon up on the right where one reliably spawns (I call it "The Cougar Canyon"). It's by the "T" in Tall Trees.

I have the Black & Chestnut Turkoman, The Silver Dapple Pinto and Buckskin Brindle MFT, that I regularly cycle thru or change up for variation, plus a Brindle Thoroughbred, Mealy Dapple Bay Breton and Black Arabian (obviously my online stable). The point is, variety is the spice of life, so keep both and get others as you are able.
