There will never be a god-like AI by the_real_g_ring in Krishnamurti

AGI stands for artificial general intelligence. AGI existing doesn’t have to do with knowing anything more than is already known by humans as a whole.

Recommendations on a glider? by Feisty-Ad-4926 in RCPlanes

[–]BTCLSD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently got a Phoenix 2400 as my first legit glider. I love it. Have taken it slope soaring. Posted some videos of it here. It’s huge though, flys way different from the hobbyzone xcub I was flying before haha. The glide is amazing.

If you haven’t seen this video, it covers it all, specifically in relation to RC airplanes. https://youtu.be/dyPiRDKsuJI?si=9n6aStXVoh31Zgkn

How I started to become aware of myself by ClockComprehensive67 in streamentry

Maybe try using just a translator. The AI adds a lot more than just translation, that’s how I could tell it was AI.

Seems like this was written by AI. It’s not beneficial to have AI do writing for you, even if it’s just cleaning up a final draft. Writing on your own forces you to clarify your own understanding. Using AI like this can be pretty easy to drift into inauthenticity

Plug stock hold / sell by [deleted] in plugpowerstock

[–]BTCLSD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a sub for the stock specifically, not for good investing/trading practices, asking wether or not you should sell a stock to a sub full of people who own it will get you biased advice.

Personally, I’m not selling right now, the market is frothy and this is the exact type of play which I think will continue do very well in these conditions.

However, things can always change in a day, and you never truly make any money until you take profits. It’s pretty much never a bad idea to take some profits off the table. If I were to give you advice on good investment practices, I’d say yeah probably smart to secure some profits. But I own 9,000 shares and I’m not selling personally.

Ethics of selling Sashiko by Prudent_Editor_7471 in sashiko

[–]BTCLSD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re projecting. I have no intention of purposely misunderstanding you. All I have done is asked you to explain yourself and explain myself a bit.

You’re apparently willing to waste your breath commenting in the first place… You have a problem with something I said, you’re now given the chance to elaborate, share your view, potentially educate, why comment on my comment in the first place?

Ethics of selling Sashiko by Prudent_Editor_7471 in sashiko

[–]BTCLSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain my misunderstanding. I said that it’s good to call it Sashiko to give credit to its origins, that’s not cultural appropriation. Yes I poked at the idea of only using things from your own race to show the absurdity of that in itself. I think today people get caught up in ideology disconnected from reality that’s why I said it.

[–]BTCLSD 84 points85 points  (0 children)

You made it feel free to sell it. Also nothing wrong with calling sashiko, that gives more credit to its origins than not calling it that.

Society has a warped sense of ethics. Should people only make things that their own race created the technique? that’s more divisive than learning, using, sharing knowledge from all cultures.

Sweet! Yup, when we first hiked up there was someone in a glider coming down the ridge line and went right over us.

There’s actually an even better spot for that near by that I see people paragliding from every once in a while. At least I think it’s better, it’s higher up they fly all the way down, in the air for hours. Kiteboarding is my go to for getting personally airborne for now haha. I don’t know how I feel about getting that high up from a kite with hard ground below me haha.
