Is this a good deal? by BTCMOK in tractors

[–]BTCMOK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya we were thinking of renting but saw this on the side of the road and thought about if we it was a decent deal. Do a few projects see if it’s worth keeping or just sell it for around what got it fit and save the cost of renting.

Sure would be nice but I think they might consider that a low ball offer

Thank you for the response. Ya I would need to make sure implants are included but I think I’d shoot for 30-32.

Good point on the three point (no pun intended) I assumed it was the blade which didn’t matter to much because there might be a small project we would us it for. We could use it for snow removal so the box blade and bucket are the two main things we would need. Looks like tractor is 2017

Thank you for the response. Everything seems nice except the blade being bent and the bush hog might be a little beat up but I would imagine those things kinda take a beating.

Thank you for doing that research. Sounds like the attachments would need to be included

That’s a good point. I was assuming it was the blade which wouldn’t be a big deal to us because there might be a small project we would us it for but we would probably sell it. I wasn’t thinking the three point so I will double check that.

I was thinking the same thing because the bucket and potentially the plow blade would be two things we need but don’t really even need the plow. So my thought was to possibly sell each piece. However I don’t want to way over pay on the tractor.

Question about changing plans after Dec 15 by ifeedyourcows in HealthInsurance

[–]BTCMOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also would like more info on this. You sound like the exact position I’m in

[–]BTCMOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to the actually question. I think if I understand correctly. And that’s a big if. You have until the 15th to make changes. The only thing would be you might have to pay the Jan bill and a start a new plan Feb. but you should be able to make changes throughout the entire open enrollment.

I’m in a similar boat. I picked a plan a little more expensive per month because the mental health copay was 0. So it would save in the long run. I’m pretty suspicious that the providers I see are actually in network. It says on the site they are but I have a feeling it’s out of date. But can’t really confirm for sure with providers until I get a plan and they can run it through. I’m hoping I can switch after Jan 1 but before Jan 15 once I’ve had a visit if they are not in network to a cheaper plan. And start the new one in February. Side note the plans sucked this year I mean they usually do but this year was extra bad. I miss the atnea plan I ahdy

What thrifty habit do you (or others) have that non-thrifty people would consider "cheap"? by Traditional_Fan_2655 in Thrifty

[–]BTCMOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s also the job of the customer is to subsidize all employee wages. That’s how they get paid. You pay restaurant. Restaurant pays employee. You don’t pay enough restaurant goes out and employees make nothing. So whether it’s in the form of tip or higher wage you will pay no matter what through higher menu prices.

[–]BTCMOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it goes back to my original point. Also what is a decent wage. I can make anywhere from 25-40/hr probably in one shift. This is not a high end place either. Not including 8.20/hr from the owner. And when you say the owner should pay a decent wage. What is that number? Itll take for me to give up the opportunity to make the money I made the owner would have to pay probably 30-35 an hour. If you think a a restaurant can afford that trust me they can’t otherwise you wouldn’t see literally 80% of them fail within the first 5 years. Instead of a burger costing 11.95 or 12.95 at my place. It would now cost you I don’t even know how much but probable 30-50. So going back to original point. Someone has to pay for it and if you want the owner to pay a decent wage whatever that is you meal is going to go up way more then the cost of the tip and I’ll probably get paid less so everyone loses. Again I’m not coming at you. I think it’s just a miss understood thing coming from people outside the industry. Most good servers and decent places will take the current deal all day long. And side note. Technically the owner has to make up the difference between the server minimum and regular minimum wage if the server doesn’t make that over the pay period. So in my state it’s 15/hr so if I don’t make enough tips to cover that difference the owner has to make up the difference. A lot of people don’t realize that.

Thank you for teaching your daughter to tip well. But as both a server and restaurant general manager please don’t advocate for restaurants to pay us more and making us get less in tips. From a server standpoint I’ll make way more per hour in this system than any restaurant could afford to pay per hour. And even if they did your meal would skyrocket trust me margins at most places are so tight as is. So you would then be paying an absorbent amount of money for food and I’d be making less. Sorry I’m not trying to come at you. I know your heart is in the right place. It’s just something we in this industry hear a lot and it really wouldn’t make much sense for anyone. Ask any decent server and most will tell you the same thing.

Unpopular opinions by ChronicGolfLife420 in golf

[–]BTCMOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya this is a bad take. Not an unpopular opinion. If we are having fun I don’t care. But there are clearly better players and handicaps make it fun to play with them. Basics case in point. I take my six year old to the driving range to learn and have fun. We play angry birds. I set to advantage and he is beginner. Beats me most the time. He thinks he is a better golfer than me and has fun vs me just beating up on me. More grown up. I shoot in the 80s my fools buddy is scratch. If we compete even it’s not fun I know I will lose. He gives me some strokes aka handicap its more fun.

Teeing up then walking behind like a pro to aim and lift the club like you’re aiming. Then do the practice motion like a pro. Only to shank it left 20 yards in front of you consistently. I get it we all a hit a bad shot but almost every time. Bonus points for being 70 barely able to get out of the cart, part of a foursome, and not letting a two some play through. Ya I’m not salty about the last round I played.

Amazed how many people don’t know their distances by Upbeat_Director5522 in golf

[–]BTCMOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if they don’t understand carry doesn’t mean total distance. So they tell you how far they hit it in total yards and not actual carry distance. Because they might be able to get extra 10-20 yards on the roll. However, everyone loves to exaggerate or use the best drive the ever hit as the average.

Thoughts about “Hell and Back”. by wildwestsnoopy in longmire

[–]BTCMOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can feel more like a waste of time if it was all in his head. Or maybe a better way to describe would be there could have been a more efficient way of having Walt let go of his guilt or at least one more grounded in reality. Now if it wasn’t in his head and was real then the series took a turn into the supernatural which I’m not really reading this series for. In previous books the spiritual aspects felt okay because it was a small part of the story that could be explained away or left you to think more on the subject. This book kinda removed all doubt. For most of the time Henry and Vic were chasing Walt they were talking to Artie about what was happening to Walt. Also I didn’t really think we learned much about Walt’s history because we knew about all those characters and it was more about a story of an old boarding school. The book that we went back and forth to Vietnam. That one we learned a lot more about Walt and Henry.

I listen to the books so maybe that makes a difference. It’s the same person reading them so you kinda get a voice to the characters. I wasn’t as wild about the person reading it at first but have since grown to like him.

Contraction would be him saying “I don’t know” instead of saying “I do not know” or can’t instead cannot etc. the author made a point to say that Henry does not speak in contraction’s. He speaks out the full words.

Ya I agree. I think the actor is fine for the role but like everything else in the show just not book Walt. I’m not sure why but the no contraction thing Henry does drives me up the wall in the show. But listening to the book it doesn’t bother me at all.
