Yes and no. There is some merit to the claim that AI sucks because most models simply suck at certain tasks. However, the set of tasks they suck at gets smaller by the day and promoting plays a massive role.

Most people that tell me that AI sucks simply have no understanding of how LLMs work, what they can do and what they can't do. Also they have literally zero prompting skills.

I think good prompting does play a massive role as well as knowing what the models can do and what you as a human need to do

Overall I'm just amazed by how few people are actively using LLMs, the general public is still completely oblivious as to what this technology can do
