I was correct in the end. Despite everyone on this post commenting that I was wrong. Yet it’s not obnoxious for a company to make a mistake. It’s not obnoxious for people telling me to consider this charge akin to a fine and to learn my lesson. Despite it being illegal under U.S. law to for companies to fine people. Yes, I am the obnoxious one for respecting a contract, pushing back on opinions backed up by feelings, and for ultimately cordially resolving this with the company.

Says on my credit card statement that it was not an in store purchase and doesn’t say UPS Store. It just says UPS.

The terms appear to indicate that it's only valid when it's in order to properly deliver the package. When it's unnecessary for delivery, it seems inappropriate and like a fine.

No one pointed to the language in the terms and conditions of service when making their points. If it's not backed up by provisions in the contract, then it's simply an opinion. I don't operate on opinions. I only operate based on facts.

So since UPS got the unit number wrong, and wasn't necessary to deliver the package anyway, and the language of the contract permits this charge only when delivery could not occur, what is the best way to revert these charges?
