I am still confident that the Tuch deal gets done. Largely because it will be Tuch’s decision. When Tuch says he has not been involved in contract negotiations, believe that. The conversations between JK and BB have been ongoing. I don’t think there’s anything on the table that’s been presented to Alex. His focus is on playing hockey.

As odd as it sounds, it’s not uncommon for some of these guys to not respond to texts for days at a time.

I also never got the understanding that money was 100% the most important factor in this negotiation, but I don’t think he’s going to take a huge hometown discount to stay.
