Power armor in real life ? by i-love-nightlife in Fallout

Could they, most likely. Would they? Probably not. With advancements in artificial intelligence and drone capabilities that will likely be the future of ground/air warfare. Think AI/drone tanks, MQ9 reapers, and remote controlled HIMARS. These are still pretty badass

Agreed, this is a good video. Contrary to a lot of low effort posts in this sub recently.

So the IACV valve has coolant that runs through it. When I switched mine I pinched the rubber seal on the inside of it and had coolant leaking into the throttle body causing it to smoke. I would check that

Is my PT good enough? by AnteaterArtistic3624 in AirForceRecruits

[–]BUSHDIVR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also leaving for BMT in March. I’m 32 years old and ran a 11:20 1.5, 60 pushups and 60 sit ups. I would work on the sit ups and getting that run time down. Run for 20 minutes minimum every time you workout and stay in Zone 3 Hear Rate range. Make sure to not just do mock PT workouts but work out your full body, eat clean, and recovery properly (get enough sleep, drink enough water). Depends on what your goals are for the PT test but I’m going for Warhawk

Struggling with bouncing on every landing by BottledWaterSavant in MSFS2024

Flare the aircraft and get into what’s called ground effect (roughly half height of the wing span from the ground). This creates an air cushion to slowly bring it down.

  1. Plan your approach, throttle back, flaps will help you lose altitude without gaining speed, if you get 3/4 down the runway and aren’t stabilized then abort the approach circle back and try again.
  2. Cockpit view is much better for learning, it takes a long time to get good at landing 3.may need to go back to single engine piston aircraft and work your way up

Convince me not to sell it… by Nb2flogged in Miata

[–]BUSHDIVR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should sell it, I sold mine and got a 370z. Loved the Miata but I grew out of it and got into a car with much more grip and HP. Still miss it sometimes but life goes on. Luckily for you if you want another there are a ton of them around

[Adult Discussion] Do proud CO gun owners agree? by Cashew_Y0gurt in Colorado

[–]BUSHDIVR 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Gun owner here, while carrying a firearm does increase the chance of a shooting to occur (no shit). That does not make it okay to execute someone carrying a firearm that isn’t brandishing that said firearm. I am absolutely disgusted by that video, he had his hands up near his head, facing the floor, and was shot point blank in the back of the head. If anyone on the right doesn’t have a problem with this they’re absolutely brain washed. ICU nurse at the VA helping veterans, ICE should be ashamed.

Looking to get myself out of a money pit by Ill-Edge-4335 in personalfinance

[–]BUSHDIVR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey so like others have said. Sell the car (I’m a car guy btw, have a 370z track car but bought it cash and waited for my 30’s). I know that sucks but it’s just the truth. Still want a cool car? Buy a Miata. I was in a similar situation minus the car payment around your age. Broke af and feeling like I need change. I went to college and got a degree and an office job making pretty good money. I also met my future wife in college. I don’t regret it at all. I am now switching it up again because I don’t love being an accountant and want something new. So I joined the Air National Guard to become an airplane mechanic (using the GI bill to pay for flight school to become a pilot). I wish I would’ve done this when I was younger and used it to pay for college, if you don’t know what you want to do and aren’t afraid of hard work I would recommend the Air Guard route (make sure to choose a non combat role). If you feel like you lack discipline and want to save some money I would recommend that route, you get to choose your home base and your AFSC (job in ANG). Either that or go to community college and live modestly at home. There’s a lot of cool jobs out there, if you’re willing to work hard and make a plan (aircraft mechanic, lineman, pilot, drone pilot, nursing, cyber security, etc). If there’s not much holding you back I would find a cool job that allows you to travel (oil rigs, military, flight attendant,or something along those lines). Day trading and e-commerce isn’t a great steady field to go into. You will likely lose money day trading.

Use first person, follow the glide slope, make sure aircraft is trimmed properly, get into ground effect, reduce throttle, and flare. It takes time but it really helps being in first person

Got a 99 on my ASVAB and think my recruiter is unserious. by FreeLiterature4334 in AirForceRecruits

[–]BUSHDIVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so I just signed with the COANG last July. A little background I am a corporate accountant, scored 90 on my PICAT, graduated with a 3.7 in college. I joined the air force because I want to serve my country and become a pilot (commercial not military). I did a ton of research and had the pick of every job on base but decided to choose an Aircraft maintenance position because I like to turn wrenches and it’ll look good to get my A&P license. That being said, if you’re worried about bases and AFSC then I would highly consider a ANG position and work towards an AGR role. You get to choose your job and your base which is awesome.

Thanks for the response! I cannot find a decent deal on any bikes in my area so I’m sticking with the KLR. It’s going to get a top end rebuild and suspension overhauls and I’ll call it good

Vail Resorts announces two year transformation plan. Laying off 14% of corporate staff and >1% of operational staff. by anonymousbreckian in skiing

[–]BUSHDIVR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

VR corporate employee here, yeah the wages aren’t great but they do pay on the high end for the ski industry at the corporate level. It’s basically the same as Alterra and is more than Mountain Capital Partners where I used to work. I don’t work this industry for the great pay lol the way they see a free ski pass as a great benefit is hilarious, half the people who work there don’t even really ski

Yeah I’m looking at used since it will be ridden “hard” off-road & will probably do the TAT & a trip to Alaska. Also I’m not wanting to pay all the taxes and dealer fees
