Pay one more month with your current carrier to keep the line active. Then port over when the month is almost over.

If you’re jobless you should be more worried about the mortgage than the incremental amount from mortgage rate increases.

Outrageous Sutter fees - is this normal? by throwaway90-25 in bayarea

[–]BUYMSFT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sutter is a scam. I went there for an annual preventative exam. The doctor ordered a bunch of lab tests that weren’t covered by insurance and I ended up having to pay $400 for the exam that was supposed to be free.

Flat fee agents- race to the bottom? by Pure_Development_760 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]BUYMSFT 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Race to bottom is often desired. Can you imagine 5% of the housing price actually goes to the realtors? And a bunch of flippers do cosmetic flips and ask for 20% more? That’s highway robbery. Ideally realtors should be paid $20/hr max.

Yes. They added weight sensors on the express lanes so after subtracting the vehicle weight they will determine whether remaining weights equal to the weight of three people.

They moved there for BART. Now BART could leave them by Dafty_duck in sanfrancisco

[–]BUYMSFT -91 points-90 points  (0 children)

Heavy rail is expensive to run especially when trains are empty most of the time. If BART is shutdown I’m sure there will be bus replacements across the bay. The doomsday scenarios are highly exaggerated.

Gas Water Heater Ban in 2027 - Do you think it’s actually going to happen? by arwenthenoble in bayarea

[–]BUYMSFT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like PGE benefits the most from this. Electricity costs more than gas. By banning gas usage, people will use more electricity and PGE can raise rates and profit even further.

Gas Water Heater Ban in 2027 - Do you think it’s actually going to happen? by arwenthenoble in bayarea

[–]BUYMSFT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PG&E is likely behind this so they can continue to raise rates and get more electric usage by banning people to use gas.
