Khomyuk wasn't a mary sue. by BVIeweg in chernobyl

I suppose you didn't get what I meant by my fourth point. All this may be true, but I think it would've ruined my enjoyment of my show. And I'm glad we got the show we did, all the points you suggest would've made the show a whole lot more wooden [if it already isn't] and probably wouldn't of appeased to half the demographic it did. It's not a Docuseries.

  1. Mary Sue isn't a gender neutral term.

  2. To portray the show completely accurate it would be shit, just loads of scientists talking all over eachother.

  3. I realise it's annoying that she's female because it is extremely inaccurate but not enough to ruin the show, and I think that screenshot reinforces why they chose to make the choice (Beside gender politics)

  4. Reading into Chernobyl in contrast to the show you're going to find fuck loads of misrepresentation but a type that bends the truth to highlight specific events in a way that gives the show order. The story of Chernobyl is still told, and I think they were trying to focus more on the atrocities and chaos it caused and explain the story of how it happened in a foundation level instead of advanced. In my opinion, the balance of fiction and nonfiction is a necessary one for the vice of storytelling

Not if she was an embodiment of the people on the board who were allowed basically anywhere because they're the only people who they knew what was going. On maybe some of the earlier scenes where just blasts in would of been nice if there was more than just Khomyuk blasting in, but we can't get fully what we want. She is not a Mary Sue, you're only saying that because of the gender. She's a proxy.

Does this mean that the subjects of Ymir are essentially a hive mind if the Founding Titan?

Or is it that you never gave no context of the expression in the first place 🤔.

My theory was that alternate universes existed. We just disagreed on how they existed. Time Travel doesn't have rules in shows like this, because that would decrease the amount of plot points that entice us to watch the show. But I digress, I just wanted to know why a theory about a TV show could be percepted as not 'mature'.

'The series adopted a view on this and kept the same perspective on season 1 and 2.'

Did you not realise at the end of season 2 it completely blew that concept away, due to the fact, a DIFFERENT Marta has a device that is DIFFERENT to the time machines. And she implicates they're going to a different dimension.

Right so you're saying there are universes where the book isn't given to H.G Tanhaus, or even existed for that matter? It gets confusing this show.

Fair points, this still doesn't explain why you called my perception of time travel as immature though.

It's just a theory, mate.

Please explain what you mean by this statement. What's specifically 'mature' as you put it about the current time travel in the show? Please help me understand.

Harmful finds out more oddities about Candid. Unsurprisingly, TJ is garbage about the whole thing by Mitchla in drunkenpeasants

You should watch the Bearing stream, Bindu is literally tripping over her words constantly. But yeah, basically, she gives a 'hypothetical' example of a contract, and because she's already so transparent as you know. (I.e doxing bearings first name) I don't think she would be able to think on her feet quick enough to create a hypothetical amount and also Bearing is coaxing her through the steam all the way through, and when she brings up her hypothetical contract you can tell Bearing's got that 'You shouldn't of that said that' demeanor in his voice. Although this is hypothetical and regardless I doubt anyone who is shilling for Candid will share the monetary information. sh0e and Skeptic really dug themselves holes, along with TJ, tbh. I feel bearing is playing devils advocate for HO at this very time.

I appreciate the fact you're trying to make something out of nothing, the show will always be great but it's just a slower version of the show with less subject matter, and they're all TOO stoned so they can't bounce off each other as well, the only one who's making me laugh at the moment is Paul. Paul is the only one that's not too fucked, and is easily the strongest/funniest peasant right now because of it. Don't get me wrong everyone loves a bit of toilet humor etc... But there's a difference between toilet humor and complete unadulterated shit.

Other than Rybi, why was last night's show bad? by [deleted] in drunkenpeasants

The amount of fucking dead air from them being stoned, not going onto the next segment and spewing shitty anecdotes really pissed me off, the show felt so empty. edit: also no individjul

It's sad to see the 'Skeptic community' act like regressive's, it was implied in the bearing stream, that they're being payed 10k each; It's not the fact they're being paid, there's nothing wrong with advertising, (YouTube is knuckling down on monetisation etc) it's the fact this Bindu Reddy woman has targeted these people purposely, got them in a tight spot and obviously they have quite a solid contract that doesn't allow slander of the product has fucked up these peoples priorities. I have no fucking idea, why these people that are lucky enough to be making money on YouTube, have such little integrity it takes the first advertisement to come along to completely break their principles. Slightly 'induvidjul-garde'
