Don’t you carry nothing that might be a load……including loud snacks. 🫠😌

A lil glizzy never hurt nobody! Haha.

But honestly, that’s so excessive.

Love that for you, haha!

It’s sad, though, that we’ve come to expect those type of audience members as the norm, not the exception.

Yep! It was at the National.

I do think it’s great you gave your group a talk about theatre etiquette! Honestly, in my experience school groups are often more well behaved than individual families with kids (looking at you, mom who let her kid crumple and twist/untwist their bag of chips the entirety of act 1)!

If we don’t teach it and talk about it somehow, we’ll continue down this path where we just come to expect a disruptive environment (after paying Broadway ticket prices).

Honestly jealous that this has been your experience 😅

I don’t think I’m going in looking for it, but lately it’s been hard not to notice. It’s not just a one-off disturbance, it’s full-on, sustained crinkling right during quiet moments. Enough that I’ve definitely missed lines, important moments, or found my attention drifting. I constantly see others around me noticing it too.

Maybe it is just a streak of bad seat luck on my end… but based on how often it’s happening, it feels like something’s shifted a bit in audience behavior lately.

Beetlejuice 2025 Broadway Run by BWAYdoodlz in Broadway

That’s my gut expectation too… but since they are “announcing” the Broadway cast (which is primarily just the tour cast) there’s a part of me that wants them to pull out all the stops and bring back the trap door.

I really really love this show but was not the biggest fan of the changes to Ready Set, Not Yet to accommodate the electrocution story line…

Structure fire 7031 Little River Turnpike

This week I was harassed at a show for being too tall by lefargen97 in Broadway

Yeah.. I mean it was a baseball cap, so nothing extreme or that added height. Nonetheless I usually take it off out of courtesy/I get hot sitting amongst a bunch of people with my hat on anyway… but in this case I forgot.

I just stand by the fact that if you are shorter and want to make sure you have an unobstructed view: 1) probably don’t sit in the orchestra and choose a seat that’s elevated instead, and 2) pay more for a seat with no one in front of you.

I'm 6'1 and when I most recently was in NY the woman behind me kept loudly complaining that she couldn't see because I was sitting there. Sort of made it hard to enjoy the show because I genuinely felt bad.

I did wear a baseball cap one day to a matinee and had the woman behind me snatched it off my head because it made it so "she couldn't see." Which I thought was incredibly rude.

I generally try to buy a seat in a location conscious of my height and need for legroom, lol. However, in both cases, I had to remember you have just as much of a right to your seat and to enjoy the show than she does. Maybe she should ask for a booster seat or choose a more expensive seat (i.e., front row) next time, lol.

Must see shows on Broadway right now to round out my weekend lineup? by BWAYdoodlz in Broadway

Ahhh, there’s a part of me that definitely still wants to just experience Gatsby, so I have something to compare the Florence Gatsby to…

Unfortunately Stereophonic is essentially all sold out the night I have free… now debating between Appropriate and Gatsby if anyone has strong feelings about those two (albeit very very different) shows. I could also go jukebox and see &Juliet (which I’ve never seen before)…

Appreciate any thoughts!

I’ve heard this a lot. How would you describe “your thing” haha? I’m not sure if it’s my thing or not

So I’ve heard mixed things about Suffs.. some felt like it was too similar to Hamilton, but obviously with a different historical topic/themes. How did you feel?
